Happy Monday, Hivers! Hope your week has kicked off to a good start. Here in Lagos, the energy is already picking up, but I managed to carve out a little bit of personal time before diving into the day's rhythm.
This morning started with a little self-care moment
There's something so refreshing about taking a few moments to just be, especially before the demands of the week truly take hold. Whether it's a quiet cup of tea or a few minutes of just breathing deeply, those small moments can really set a positive tone for the day ahead. I always find that a little bit of intentional calm in the morning can make navigating the Lagos Monday rush a little smoother.
Later on, I found myself needing a little pick-me-up while out and about. And what better way to treat yourself than with a little bit of sweetness? I spotted this Magnum Chocolate Cookie Crumble ice cream
and it just looked too tempting to resist! There's something so satisfying about that first crack of the chocolate shell and the creamy ice cream inside. It was a little moment of indulgence amidst the busyness of the day, a small reminder to enjoy the simple pleasures. Sometimes, those little treats can make a big difference in your mood, right?
My day also involved heading out for an appointment.
It is a sunny day, and I opted for this black dress for the occasion as its formal and it was a formal meeting. Lagos has a way of making you want to put your best foot forward, even on a Monday!
And then i was off to a class
I switched to something a bit more casual – this coral top and brown overall dress – perfect for exploring the city after my classes. The sun is shining, and there is that familiar Lagos buzz in the air. Each part of the day seems to have its own distinct feel here.
To think its still morning over here and I have already done a lot. Mondays are always busy for me and i love it even though i have to be up as early as 5am. Also dont mind the scarf my hair is a mess 🫣
