Most people go for a surrogate mother. Surrogacy is just all about having someone carry your child after in vitro fertilization. The intended mother gets her eggs out, and they get fertilized with sperm, and after fertilization, they are implanted into the surrogate mother.
Most ladies use this as a form of business, but then there are risk factors both for the surrogate mother and the intended mother. For the surrogate mother, she has to be taken care of during the gestational period, which is why intended parents might decide to take the surrogate mother in till when she gives birth.
Which might be dangerous for the couple. The surrogate might have another hidden motive, which may lead to breaking the home of these couples. There are stories where a surrogate breaks the couple's home and turns out to be his wife.The emotional bond and attachment. There might be an emotional attachment between the surrogate and the child, and she might not like to give up the child or might lay a claim on the child later in the future.
So to avoid such drama from happening in the future, an abiding contract should be signed between the surrogate and the intended parents.Surrogate mothers too are at risk; what if their payments are not met up to? What if after carrying the child, and it gets to the time to be paid, she is thrown out? This is one of the risks a surrogate mother faces.Most countries have bans on surrogacy, but then some intended parents still practice secretly.
Both are at the risk of being caught. The intended parents might feel in the future the surrogate mother might use it against them, so to keep their secret buried, they might decide to hunt the surrogate mother down and kill them so they won't be able to expose their secret.Intended parents might find it quite expensive to have a surrogate mother.Hiring a surrogate is not something I would like to get involved in; I would love to carry my own child, have that pregnancy experience, and feel that bond between my child.For most ladies who are not privileged to have their own child due to health factors and otherwise. It can be an opportunity for them to experience parenthood.
Most athletes and ballerinas might not feel the willingness to go through the process of carrying a child for 9 months or the change of shape that comes with pregnancy which might ruin their career might decide to go for having another carrying their child. This childbearing method puts smiles on most ladies' faces, and I don't see any need for it to be abandoned but should be handled with carefulness if one has the need to indulge in it.
