TALK TO A FRIEND app
Technology has advanced and, in a much more positive way, has made life easier for humanity, yet a significant number of people bottle up their pains, hurts, dreams, and aspirations within them, for they have minimum trust for those around them, or perhaps timidity would not permit them to share their minds.
If I were to create an app without consideration for resources, it would be TALK TO A FRIEND. You guessed right! A saying goes thus: "A problem shared is half solved". This is not necessarily because the person the problem was shared with has the solution, but because the burden of bearing the problem alone has been lifted. One major reason people bottle up problems is the fear of being judged. At one point or another in our lives, we all make mistakes that we are not proud of. Sometimes, we wish the hand of time could be turned back so that those mistakes would never have been made. The good news is that there is hardly a perfect man who has walked the earth without making mistakes (except the hallowed religious leaders). Every man has an uncertainty, an idea, or a thought that they would love to share but don’t.
There are a good number of alternatives to this app, such as an app that would fetch a lot of money or that would tip us into a healthier lifestyle. I chose the TALK TO A FRIEND app because it has the capacity to encompass all of man’s wants and desires. This particular app would have anonymous friends to talk to and filter out unacceptable language or advice. In a not-too-distant hivelearners prompt, we had the opportunity to talk about mental health, and significant justice was done by the hivelearners community members. It was anonymously concluded that everyone may have suffered mental discord at some point in life. The vigor to live life comfortably and productively depends largely on our mental health, which often goes undetected or jeopardized, and a support community like this app would alleviate or ameliorate those troubles ravaging our minds.
The good this app will do will include, but not be limited to, the following:
FRIENDSHIP: This is a strong word in our world today. Every human relationship is bound by friendship, or otherwise. The relationship between a husband and wife, a cleric and congregation, a leader and followers, etc. can be attributed to the level of friendship between both. Now there are those individuals who are known to be introverts. This app would be a good friend to such, as I have experienced sweet friendship from those I have never set my eyes upon. Hive is a good example of an interface that brings friendship to hivers.
TALK: Talking as simple as it sounds, can be very difficult. It takes a lot of courage to be able to voice one’s thoughts and feelings to another. This app intends to build confidence in users so that they will be able to express themselves to verified anonymous users. I believe a good number of users can get encouragement, counsel, advice, tips, and ideas on the usage of such an app. Features such as support groups can ease the burden on users.
I believe the world needs a trusted environment to voice one’s thoughts and feelings.
