Hi everyone, my entry for the weekly #hivelearners contest on the hive learners community.
There are so many highly contrasting views about equal wages among workers from different fields of life and every time the level of fairness in wages paid to workers keeps on decreasing, people don't get paid according to how they work but you see so many criteria that normally do not make sense being used to pay workers for the work they've done, there is an obvious difference between people working at the desk and those working on the field which shouldn't normally be so, this has diverted so many peoples faces from the real work on the field to the office which has increased the level of competition for those positions in the office.
The unequal wage distribution amongst workers has been met with high backlash from people who have been affected by those demanding for an equal wage distribution amongst all workers.
The situation where some jobs or workers are considered not as important as the other in our world today, teachers don't get the attention that they need and so many professions are made to look less relevant which has resulted to this kinds of jobs looking less lucrative to the younger generation.
Educational level and background has
replaced capabilities, ethics and the amount of time dedicated to work.
Should everyone now be paid equally or according to what the worker brings to the table? When we make a claim that unequal pay makes sense because we want to increase competition and make everybody improve themselves then we should also remember that lots of people are getting hurt and cheated directly or indirectly.
If I was given the opportunity to fix this then I will go about it this way , the general employment system of some institutions should be scraped so that a new system that will constitute fairness can be employed, if the company wants to motivate their workers who have put in so much effort into making their institution grow then it should be done in form of an incentive to thank them for their individual effort while also encouraging the rest of the team to work harder to stand a chance to win it that way the environment remains competitive.
There should be no space giving to excuses like background and connections to any staff and if any worker still wishes to get to the very top in the company after it has been established that everyone is going to be paid equal then such worker will as well have to worked hard and diligently to get to the top that he wish to be, there should be no room for frauds getting what they want when they don't deserve it since one of the reasons many people so aim for the top because of how much those at those positions tend to make on an average compared to others.
Incentive has a way of motivating a worker and making sure they don't take their foot off the gas, when there are things like this in place that's when you see work moving at full throttle.
The wage system at this point would not be distributed in a way that any one will be hurt or cheated in any way then you will see a change in the number of people showing interest for field work rather than just working in the office
