Is there really anyone on planet earth who doesn't love a particular sport? I doubt so. In this era where everyone is trying to keep fit. I am certain the love for sporting has increased than in the past years.
The question for this week is one not to ignore. I am not much of a sport fan. So trust me to want to sleep instead of partaking in any sport. But there is a particular sport that I can never ignore. No matter what may be the situation and that sport is swimming.
There can never be a dull moment with swimming. I have always loved to watch people swim. The way they flap their hands and legs making the water cry for help is just so amazing. Have you seen a complete swimming trunk? It's sexy especially the ones that the ladies wear. I think that's why a lot of females work out. To have a summer body that can be used to pepper people( excuse my Nigerian). Imagine being sexy in the pool. What am I saying? LOL.
Swimming is a great exercise to burn calories. Even if its for just 30minutes be rest assured that you have a wonderful exercise. But can I ask? How do you burn calories while being sexy in the pool? I need an answer please. I see those ladies who come to swim looking all hot and when they deep themselves in the pool I just wonder if they came to have fun or to burn calories. Well, that is why swimming is just fun.
I enjoy diving into the pool. That may sound childish but that's the fun of it. Just run from a far distance and then dive gallantly into the pool let the water splash. One time my husband did it and he lost a tooth. I will never do that, but I enjoy watching people do that by the way. Please if you don't know how to swim, I advice you don't do this. Get a swimming coach to teach you.
What is not to love about swimming? I get lazy when it comes to working out but the joy in my heart when I know that whether I hit the gym or not, once I get into that swimming pool ,I have done exactly what the people who went into the gym did.
Lastly, swimming is the only sport that is stress free and totally relaxing. You can stretch, you can just relax and be rejuvenated while in the water. Its such an amazing sport that soothes completely. Listening to the sound from splashing water is soothing to me. I enjoy it because I sometimes get inspired by it.
Guess what? I can't swim. LOL. To learn how to swim, you have to practice inhaling and exhaling deeply first. I tried doing that while in the shower but hey, I couldn't pull through. So I gave up. But when it comes to swimming, in fact I am a cheerleader in the swimming pool. You can probably say I am a spectator. I just admire from afar and will never go into the water. That's an irony right? Loving something that you cannot do yourself. Well that is my reality. The highest i can go is dipping my legs into the water.By the way I encourage people to engage in swimming too. Just maybe I could learn, but definitely not anytime soon.
