Hello everyone in the hive blockchain. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the weather wherever you are. Welcome to my blog.
The hive learners community has presented us with another amazing topic and glad to be writing on it.
I was so happy when I saw this topic. Why? Because not only is writing about yourself fun and interesting r, but you can also learn a whole new thing about yourself. Sit down, take a deep breath and start writing. I'm sure the words will come freely. I mean, you're not writing on any difficult topic, there are no rules. How hard could writing about yourself be?
I've heard people complain that they don't know what to say when people ask them about who they are. “Tell me about yourself” personally, this question is one of the most simple questions one can answer. Writing about yourself is pretty simple if you let the words flow freely. You don't need to think pretty hard, it's not an examination.
When it comes to talking about yourself, you can find it pretty hard if you don't know how to put things. The best approach is to make a list (questions) and start filling them out.
A brief introduction
My name is Favour. “Your name is Favour, why? You're not a girl” I've heard this a lot of times. It got to a point that I got fed up and said “yes, my name is Favour, and a girl”. I feel a child’s name should have nothing to do with gender. Well, to cut it short, my name is Favour and I'm a good-looking guy. Winks!
I'm light in complexion, smart, and cute. I was born into a family of 6 (including my parents) and as fate would have it, I'm the last child of my parents (it's a good thing).
I'm from Edo state. Well, I'm partly from Edo state and partly from Anambra state (it's a little bit complicated). I can speak the Edo language fluently, but I'm not so good at speaking Igbo. I can also speak the Yoruba language fluently. This is because I grew up in a youtube state, among Yoruba people.
Educational Background
I completed my secondary and primary education in Ile-Ife, Osun state. About a year after graduating from high school, I gained admission into the Federal University of Oye Ekiti (Fuoye), Ekiti State, Nigeria,. I'm presently studying English and Literary Studies at the FUOYE. It's a pretty amazing course, but the school makes it hard for students. And to worsen the case, the environment is not so conducive to learning.
My hobbies
I love doing a lot of things. Growing up, I used to enjoy playing with toys, legos, and all. But as I grew up, I lost interest in a lot of things.
Playing football. The first that comes on the list. I love playing football and I was so close to taking it as a profession, but something happened and I erased all my memories of playing football as a profession. Today, I play football almost every day. It is something I'm good at and that I enjoy doing. Plus it is also a form of exercise (this is the least reason why I love playing football).
Watching movies; I started watching movies at a very young age. I can't even remember when I fell in love with movies. I enjoy watching movies, especially anime and cartoons. My friends(and a lot of people out there) say anime and cartoons are for kids, I really don't care about that, I still love it that way. I also enjoy watching American, Indian, Korean, and Chinese action movies. I'm not all in for Romance and all, but sometimes I watch it. Due to school work; assignments, lectures, and all, I don't watch movies like before.
Playing games; I also started playing games when I was pretty young. I love action games, yeah the one with blood and all. I also love playing chess and football games.
Story behind my name
My name is favour. Most of my friends call me just favour or fave (girls call me fave). My username on my is justfavour. So what's the story behind my name? During my days in high school, my surname was one of the hardest to pronounce. Teachers tried, but they all gave up. Don't worry I won't write it. Then one day, a new teacher came in and asked for our names (to get familiar with the students). I didn't want to tell her my surname, so I said “justfavour” and since then, my classmates started calling me Justfavour.
My role model
I'm sure people like know who I'm going to mention. Christian Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer is my role model. The Portuguese is a role model to many people (especially youths out there). Not only do I like him for his skills, but I also love his lifestyle and good deeds.
My favorite food
Before I continue, I’d like to let you know that I'm a picky eater, and at the same time, I'm a foodie. Hehe. A lot of things about me are so complicated. Okay, I used to enjoy eating Eba and Ogbono soup. I could eat it every day without getting tired of it. But everything changed when I went for a church program and I got served Eba and Ogbono. Now, I can't even taste it again because it makes me nauseous. Do I even have a favorite food now? Uhm. The food I think is my favorite food is beans. But sometimes I get tired of eating beans. Hehe. I told you it is complicated.
My allergies
I've heard people say I'm allergic to cats, fur, dogs, this and that. I've tried and tried to discover my allergies, but to no avail. I'm not allergic to anything. Well, let me put it this way; I'm yet to discover my allergies.
Introvert or Extrovert
Have you ever heard of the word “Ambivert”? Yes! I'm both an introvert and an extrovert. Another complicated thing about me. I don't have a problem going out with friends and having fun, but sometimes I just want to be inside. Doors locked. Just me and my phone, and sometimes I even feel uncomfortable around people. I don't like talking (long convos) with strangers.
Do I play any musical instrument?
No! Sadly, I don't play any musical instruments. I love drums, piano, and some other nice musical instruments. Sadly, I don't know how to play any of them. I've once tried to learn how to play the keyboard, but my teacher traveled and since then I gave up on it since I wasn't really interested. But maybe one day I’ll learn how to play at least one musical instrument.
Do I love making friends?
I love meeting new people and making friends. But “making friends” is just limited to online. I have a lot of friends on the blockchain. I
Especially in the Neoxian city, we talk everyday and I really enjoy chatting with them.
But in real life, I love to keep the circle of my friends small. I enjoy my privacy a lot.
My favorite color
I love blue, white and black. Lol, I just don't know why. I just love those colors.
What makes me stand out
There's this thing about me, I love myself so much, and I always live to work on myself. What makes me stand out;
I believe in my skills; I believe in my writing skills, and every other talent I have. I believe that as long as I improve on myself, my skills will take me to higher places.
I'm a positive-minded person. My mom passed this mindset on to my siblings and I. Except for the best in everything you do. Even when you fail at something, don't give up, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm determined and consistent. My growth on this blockchain is as a result of my determination and consistency. About 8 weeks ago, I got selected as a member of the newbies initiative. A program that trains and teaches newbies about the blockchain. At first the program.was easy, but when I returned back to school It was very tight for me, but I still managed to fight through till the end. A lot of us started the program, some quit, but I was among the few that made it to the end.
