Being in a crime scene is something that is unavoidable if you find your self in a place like warri, Delta state Nigeria. Growing up, I got to witness a whole lot of crime scenes, at a point it became a normal experience until I had the opportunity of visiting other parts of the states and the world at large. Seeing how people live peacefully and secure was a strange experience for me, but as time went on I got to understand that crime is never a normal thing as long as the law is in place. Back in warri, (as at when I was still growing up) it was easy to see cult groups fighting, killing and destroying properties without fear of being caught. It was easy to see soldiers burn down an entire community for reasons best known to them.
One of the funniest crime scene experience I had was being a victim of a robbery attack. It was as though I had gotten so use to it that when the robbers pointed the gun at me, I almost burst into laughter. Seeing my parents and sister on their knees was the only reason I went on my knees, otherwise I was plotting different means to disarm the guy pointing a gun at me seeing there were only two of them, but then I had to abort the plans when I thought about the other guy firing at any member of my family in the process.

Coming to school the next day I told some friends of mine and we really wanted to do an investigation on it because the robbers went away with my mum's car. We were able to track the car, but the robbers had already escaped, so we just left it as it was.
That was when my dad opted to take me to a boarding school in Lagos Nigeria so I wouldn't have to be a part of the normal crime life boys were into in warri. Although warri isn't as brutal as it use to be, but the crimes still go on there at a low key level.

Another crime experience I had were with some friends of mine who were into cyber crimes, I witnessed first hand how this guys strategies their plans to put up a business online for the purpose of scamming the public. One would be the admin, and the rest will act as though they are benefitting from the business just to deceive the ordinary man, I never joined them then because I didn't really find it interesting, (leaving around these guys made it look normal) so I opted to learn something else (digital marketing).
In conclusion the war against crimes is a never ending one because you don't just battle with those that do them, you also get to battle with their sponsors who are in position of authority and have ability to bend and escape the law as they deem fit, but if those who stand purely for justice can be opportune to execute the law, I think the world will be a better place.
Thanks again for stopping by my blog today until next time.
