Experience the say is the best teacher. Well this can be argued. Some people might tell you they prefer to learn from other people's mistakes. This might be true, I think it is important for us to learn from others and try to avoid the same mistakes they made.
Let me ask this question, is learning from other people's mistakes the best way of learning?. For me I will say no. Why do I say no?. We have to put into consideration the situation the person found him or her self. No two situations can be identical. There must always be a factor that differentiates the two.

I remember when I was about taking my driving lessons. I was given a book to read on how to drive. I was super excited and I felt I could drive after reading the book. The following day, I was in the car with my Dad and I was busy telling him how to manuver a bend or when to slow down. I remember him telling me to stop it that he is the one driving and he knows what he was doing. I was like my Old man doesn't know how to drive. At some point I felt he was too slow and I thought if I was the one driving, I would just overtake all the cars on the road.
At night I was watching a video online on how to drive and I was so convinced that I knew how to drive. After all I knew where all the pedals was located, the brake, the clutch and the accelerator .
The next morning I arrived at the driving school full of confidence. I thought to myself "I will show them the stuff I'm made of". My instructor called me, it was time for me to start my lessons. Before he could start mentioning the different parts of a car, I interrupted him and mentioned them with their uses. He looked at me and smiled. I assumed he was happy, atleast his student is already familiar with the workings of a car. I told him I could drive. He said I must be joking, I insisted that I know how to drive. And I could even drive on the main road.
We got to the field where learners are thought the basics of driving. I told him I would show him I could drive. He said okay, after all there was no one else there. I got into the car turned on the engine and the next thing the car moved and was heading towards a tree. Apparently the car was not in neutral. And what did I know about driving apart from what I saw in the videos.
My heartbeat increased and I started screaming. I forgot where the brakes where and didn't pressing any of the pedals. My instructor somehow made the car to stop. All I could remember was that he crossed his legs to my side.
The car stopped and he turned off the engine. I came down from the car and I refused to get back into the car. He laughed at me said "forget about driving manual, you need to experience how it's done".
I got back home and told my Dad what had happened and he laughed at me. He told me "You can't read about how to drive and think you can do it".
