Greetings everyone!🙌
It was exactly 3 years ago when I and my WhatsApp group mates were trying to leave the world of Ponzi because it really dealt with us.
We just moved from the 'deadly' and enchanting WhatsApp group and moved to a new one with new minds. We settled for airdrops and cryptos because there were crypto genius guys in the group who were willing to teach and bring updates so all of us would benefit.
A time came when cryptocurrency boomed up and the news was everywhere. The crypto guys in the group didn't fail to oppress us with screenshots of the increment on their wallets.
I wasn't really into cryptocurrency then, so I didn't pay any attention to their posts and noises, but it became so obvious when one guy mentioned that he had already made $150 with $20 on KLEVER ($KLV).
Temptation is real! I couldn't hold it anymore; I hopped in and updated my KLEVER app.
The only exchange pair was TRX, so I sent all my TRX on Trustwallet to the KLEVER app in order to purchase the $KLV.
I ran to Anthony, the one who seems to be the Lord of Crypto, and he explained to me like a Nigerian lecturer. I rushed into the app, did the magic, and it showed SUCCESSFUL. I waited for 10 minutes for it to reflect, but nothing appeared. I waited for another 20 minutes, and I still didn't see anything...my swapped TRX was not showing and the $KLV wasn't showing as well.
I went to meet Anthony to report the issue, and he assured me it's network(app traffic) because people are rushing it. He concluded that I should wait.
Guys, I waited for about an hour, and I went to meet Benita, the queen of cryptocurrency in the group, my very good friend who trusted most of her cryptocurrencies to my trustwallet because iPhones do not support trustwallets.
She did the same; she beat around the bush just like Anthony did. Meanwhile, before I embarked on the journey of buying the $KLV, I met her earlier before meeting Anthony but because her explanation was the worst, I snubbed her.
It dawned on me that my money was lost, so I began to dig deep into the situation and the processes they had earlier dropped. I found out that the two of them made mistakes in the process. Yeah, I was given the correct link to swap, but just an omission of a figure spoiled it.
I went and told them, and they, out of shock, shouted "Jesus!". The did has been done, and there was nothing I could do...I couldn't hold them responsible for not giving me the accurate direction.
I got really mad at the both of them for making such silly mistakes and not explaining better. These were people to whom I could give out my time trying to explain things to their understanding.
Mehn! I was so pained, and it was hard for me to let go, even though I knew that a 'mistaken transaction' is never reversible.
I went online to search for means to retrieve money that had been wrongly transacted on the KLEVER blockchain, but I could not find anything.
I went back to Anthony and Benita seeking for a way to retrieve my money but they couldn't proffer anything, infact I knew more than them at that moment because I had read a lot of articles while searching for solutions.
My money was gone for good and I was helpless.
Lesson learned
Ever since then, I've been very careful whenever I'm using a blockchain for the very first time or making a cryptocurrency transaction.
For my friends (Anthony and Benita), we are still good till today. No hard feelings at all.
