So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week which is “A TYPE OF FAMILY”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “FOR THE SAKE OF SCIENCE”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on the idea of running tests and experiments on animals just to make human life better and easier. There were those who supported the practice and there were those who stated that they could never be in support of such a practice,
We got to see why people made their decision and many of them had a lot to do with the background that they had. There were those who were simply on the fence, choosing not to take any side in the discourse.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w143e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. ANIMAL TESTING: A NECESSARY EVIL OR A MORAL DILEMMA by
This author told us that it would be a bad idea to put a stop to animal testing, because then the first line of defense during testing would be straight to humans and if the medicine had any major side effect, the human would suffer dearly for that. So, the current way it’s being handled is good for everyone..

For this author, he believes that society will always have a need for animal testing. However how it happens is what is more important. However in the world of today, a lot goes before taking an animal for a test and so many measures have been put in place enforcing the health and wellbeing of all the animals.
For this author, he believes that while the testing of animals are somewhat unethical, there is a need for them in society. It’s the price that we have to pay for progress. So, if some drugs are gonna have to get to us, they would first of all make it through the animals first. There is no other way.
