So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “MY DEAR COUNTRY”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “BUSINESS MINDED”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us about how the majority of the needs of the people are now being turned into cash cows by corporations. Everything that once used to be done simply for passion and love is now being done for profit, and as such, the price for it keeps going higher.
We got to see that indeed, in this day and age, many businesses are willing to go to great lengths just to make more money, regardless of who gets hurt. From schools to hospitals, money is the determining factor in how good a service you get. And that’s the thing, with this hunger for profits, it stops being about providing a service and becomes more about providing a product. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
