So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “A SOLO TRIP”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “A MEMORABLE PRESIDENT”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us about the most memorable president they’ve ever had in their country. From the good presidents who genuinely cared about their people to the ones who only made life worse for the masses, everyone had one thing or the other to say on the topic.
We got to see that indeed, a lot goes into governing a nation. And while some leaders are willing to serve and make the lives of their people better, there are those who would rather let everyone languish in poverty while they accumulate public funds for themselves. It’s one of the most painful realities. This was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this author, he told us about the former president Umar Musa Yar’adua of Nigeria. This was a man who had a great empathy for the people that he led, and he was willing to do everything he could to ease the burden on their shoulders. And among so many reasons, Yar’adua will always remain one of his most memorable presidents.
