Hello everyone!!
It's another writing section in the hl-community, and I'm always happy to contribute. Before I begin, I'd like to welcome everyone to my blog and express my gratitude for constantly reading and supporting my work. The contest announcement this week piques my interest because I am passionate about the subject
Theme of the edition
Tell us about that sport you love watching or playing. Tell us a little bit about it and how it is played. And tell us why you enjoy it so much.
All work and no play, as the saying goes, makes Jack a dull boy. This means that as we go about our regular lives, a little fun catching is also essential to keep the equation balanced. Yeah, when it comes to having a good time, everyone has a favorite sport that they enjoy watching or participating in, and for me, the one that does the trick is SOCCER.
Soccer has always been my favorite sport since I was a kid. It's only because of lack of opportunity that I didn't make a career out of it; otherwise, I'd be damn good at it. However, since I was unable to perform the magic myself on the pitch, I had to option to watching those who performs the magic.
Little detail about Soccer
Soccer is a foot sport in which two teams of eleven players compete with a round ball. Soccer's main goal is to get the ball into your opponent's net. Goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards are the four basic positions in a soccer game. Each of these roles is responsible for a certain area of the pitch. Soccer is played over a 90-minute period divided into two halves, each with 45 minutes of play time. If the match is a knockout kind, an extra 30 minutes, split into 15 minutes per half, will be granted if no winner emerges after the collapse of 90 minutes. (A knockout match is one in which a winner must be determined.) If the teams cannot produce a winner after the extra 30 minutes, a penalty shootout will be held.
Depending on the league, teams are also granted a certain number of substitutes. A side usually has five to seven substitutes to pick from, and once a player has been substituted, he or she cannot return to the game under any circumstances.
On the field, how do soccer teams appear??
Every soccer game follows a standard game formation. The most common formations are the 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-1-3, and a variety of others.
The ball is kicked around by the players in the expectation of scoring against the opposing team. Teams must also follow the game's rules and regulations. Some of the terms used in soccer include; goal kick, corner kick, free kick, penalty kick, and others.
Soccer Rules
No Foul Play; depending on the location of the foul, this could result in a free kick or a penalty kick. It may also result in the player receiving a yellow or red card. A player who received a red card or two yellow cards in a match, leaves the field.
No handball; Only the goalkeeper has the right to use his or her hand; any other use of the hand is considered a foul and will be penalized accordingly.
Throw-ins. A throw-in is taken when the ball crosses a sideline and leaves the field against the side that sent it out
Corner Kicks & Goal Kicks: A corner kick takes place when a player kicks the ball past his own goal lines, whilst a goal kick occurs when the other team does so.
Fanbase and reason for choosing soccer as my favorite
When it comes to soccer, I am a supporter of two teams: Liverpool and FC Barcelona. Many people have asked me to choose between the two teams, but I have never done so because I love them both.
Soccer is a game that brings people together. You can envisage a diverse group of people converging for the love of soccer.
Soccer is an exciting sport to watch, especially when your team is winning.
Conclusion:
Soccer to me is truly the most exciting game being played. I have lived and loved every moment I spent on playing or watching it except when I lost though. Of course, nobody loves Losing. Lastly, the Hl-team above, I'd make a prediction of 0:3, you can tell me yours in the comment section.
