Hello everyone, I will be participating in the third week prompt in the Hive Learners community. I’ve actually been really impressed with all the prompts this week. Like for real, I have a lot to say about this one.

When you hear “world war,” it’s not something that should be taken lightly. A lot of terrible things can happen. You could die instantly and never come back, be shot for no reason, or just become a victim of circumstances you didn’t even create.
You can lose everything you hold dear your home, your peace, your loved ones. From what I understand, world war is not just about soldiers fighting; it affects everybody, even innocent people who just want to live their normal lives.
Now coming to the main topic. The author asked, if a world war should break out now, what would be the first thing I would do? I won’t lie, it’s a very serious question. But honestly, I pray I never get to experience something like that. War is not something anyone should wish for. It turns life into survival of the fittest, and not everyone is built for that kind of situation.
My first priority would be to locate my family members. I would try to find out where everyone is at that moment and make sure they are safe. After that, I would start planning how to bring everyone together in one place. There is strength in unity, and I believe being together will give us a better chance of survival than being scattered in different locations.
It won’t be funny at all. I would definitely arm myself with any weapon I can find, because at that point, things would have gone beyond normal. It won’t be about laws anymore, it will be about survival. I need to be able to protect myself and also protect my family if danger comes close. Even while trying to locate them, I know I would have to stay alert and ready for anything.
After bringing my family together, the next step would be to find a safe location. Maybe somewhere far from the main city, because cities are usually the first targets during war. A quiet area, maybe a village or somewhere hidden, where there is less chaos. I would also try to gather basic supplies like food, water, medications, and clothes. These things may not seem like much now, but during war, they become very important.
Communication would also be important. I would try to stay updated with what is happening around the country, so I can make better decisions. At the same time, I would avoid unnecessary movement, because moving around too much can be dangerous.
As for joining the army, I don’t think that would be my first choice. My responsibility is first to my family. If I cannot secure their safety, then going to fight in a war wouldn’t make sense to me.
However, if it gets to a point where defending my country also means protecting my family’s future, then I might consider it. But honestly, my main focus will always be survival and keeping my loved ones safe.
In conclusion, world war is something I never wish to experience. It brings pain, loss, and destruction. But if it ever happens, my plan is simple find my family, stay together, stay prepared, and do everything possible.
