Good day everyone, Easter is over now, welcome to the second week prompt on Hive Learners community.

I actually love this prompt, AI vs Humans. Is AI faster than humans or is it actually smarter, or just faster at getting things done? Well, it’s really interesting to write on because it depends on how you view it.
Some people believe AI is smarter, while others believe humans are still ahead. Ok let me start by saying AI wouldn’t exist if scientists or the human brain didn’t think of creating one. And why was that? Because there is a limit to how much we can store in our brain or even remember after many years. You can’t expect someone to remember everything perfectly after 50 or 100 years. That’s where AI comes in, to help us remember things, store information, and process it faster than we can.
What I’m saying in other words is that AI can never be smarter than humans. AI gives better results faster than humans because it is programmed to do what it is told. There is no emotion attached to it. For example, if I create a robot and program it to just sit and stand up, and also program it to wake me up every 4:00am in the morning, it will only do just that. Does it mean it is smarter than me? No. It is just doing what I programmed it to do. It is providing results consistently because my brain might be occupied with other things at that moment.
Another example is calculators. A calculator can solve difficult math problems in seconds. If you give it 56789 × 345, it will give you the answer immediately. But does that mean the calculator is smarter than a mathematician? No. The mathematician understands how the calculation works, can solve it step by step, and can even create new methods. The calculator is just following instructions.
Also, think about GPS navigation. When you want to go somewhere, your phone can show you the fastest route instantly. But if the system fails or there is no network, many people will be lost. A human who knows the environment can still find their way. That shows that AI depends on data and instructions, while humans can think, adapt, and survive even in unexpected situations.
Another good example is writing. AI can generate articles, stories, or answers very fast. But most times, it lacks real human emotion and experience. A human writer writes from pain, joy, struggle, and real life experience. That is something AI cannot truly feel or understand deeply.
So in my own opinion, AI is not smarter than humans, it is just faster. It helps us do things quicker and easier, but it still depends on human intelligence to exist and function. Humans are the ones creating, improving, and controlling AI.
In conclusion, AI is like a powerful tool, not a replacement for human intelligence. It can assist us, make our work easier, and save time, but the real intelligence still comes from the human mind. Without humans, there is no AI.
