Education is the key to success and it should be open to everyone who are ready to achieve this education. There should not be a gender difference whenever it comes to education and acquiring knowledge. Many persons are willing to learn but might not have the opportunity or the resources it requires to achieve certain education levels.. I'm in a country where we value education but not everybody has the opportunity to achieve that goal. We have many professors in my country who study everyday and night, both men and female professors. A country that encourage that academics and education is one which is what staying and living in. But the problem is are they really encouraging this education as the world "encouragement" implies.
Education system in my country is actually one of the best in the Africa continents. But the problem we do face is the people in charge of this system. The curriculum each department used are almost talent with those who are abroad. And some European countries has less of workload in their curriculum compared to that which we have in my country. Therefore academic standard is Gain in my country but they requirement to meet up with this standards are what is lacking.
You see country like Nigeria having a full good curriculum for learning. Just like the nursing and Midwifery department in Nigeria, they have standard curriculum for learning. The challenges face in my country when it gets to education are: inadequate lecturers, most of the times some institution hire guest lecturer to fit in some of the role that are supposed to be for permanent lecturers... Most of institution don't have proper library equipment, meaning don't have laboratory for laboratory experiences, and these are important factors needed in an institution.
However, no matter how bad it is it does not affect the choice of education in the country. There is no particular course or professions strictly made for just men or female. You see Male doing courses or Profession that is said to be women and it is allowed in my country. I am a male midwife, people believe that midwifery is mainly for female but in my country both men and female are allowed to practice this profession.
I might not have a clear idea of how other department run and the ratio of number between male and female in other institution and Department. Meanwhile, in my institution and department we have larger number of female over male. Ideally, because it is a female profession in quotes.
However, there are also some profession or department where they will have more of male than female. This may be because of the nature of the profession or the belief people had over the profession itself
Just like I said earlier on people think that my profession is for women so we have more of women than men.
Ideally, In my country, there is no limitation to who will get a particular education opportunity over others. Both men and female are giving the same privilege in education field. Unless is just a personal or a tribalism believe. Where people believe that more of guys or their male child should go to school than the female child, meanwhile this is not a general country believe. So the Tendency of both men and female to assess every possible quality education is Same.
Therefore, Education Is For All.
