Reading frequently makes you to be active in knowledge and you read and make research is to get to know more about your environment and Society. A good reading habit is very important to every individual, who can read and write, at least. Many people read often, some read everyday of their life, While there are people who reads occasionally.
In as much as we have people that can open their books to read, either regular or occasional, there are people who does not open their book to read unless something important drag the attention to the book, Not that they are doing an intensive Reading. Depending on the environment and the space which you found yourself, it also have a way to determine if you are eventually going to read physical books or not.
Therefore, our environment also is the contributing Factor to Reading physical books or not. Why I said this is because if you are in environment or if you say it where you have no access to any physical material or book, bet me you're not going to find it easier to read, however if you stay in environment where books are made available and your environment somehow imposes you to read you with definitely opened the books and might read of some at that. So environment influences how often will read our books.
Somehow career also or our profession determines if we read often or not. For an Example, if you want to be a successful lawyer or barrister, then you have to be a bookworm. Lawyers always pay attention to every details of information and one of the fastest way of getting information, is by reading. Many Professions demands you read often to make sure you stay updated and informed. Profession like law like I said before, Medical Professions and other likes demand you read regularly if you want to stay active and updated..
As you all know, I'm A Medical Practitioner. Which simply means that if I want to be a successful medical practitioner, I have to read often if not every day of my life... During my early days in the training Institution, I read almost 2 to 3 times daily, but now after graduation, it didn't stopped rather, it became part of me, that I make it as point of duty to read at least daily... In medical field, information is key and from time to time, New things are updated and brought onboard. Right now, I read at least Once daily. I come across different cases both in lecture classes and in clinical areas... One thing I have come to realize Is that the more you read, the more you get to know things and be informed about your Environment and things happening around...
Although, there are challenges we face in reading, when you stop to read for a long period of time, it is always difficult to fall back to the way you read before, unless you are determined to continue and read. One other thing about reading is, to read and understand, not Just reading to feel like you know what you are doing... It is also important to know what time is best for you to read and cope with it... Don't force yourself into what is not okay for you. Meanwhile, the purpose of reading is another factor that contribute to how efficient your reading is. Read with a motive.
