Health Emergency happens From time to time, Even without our noticed, and in many situation, people find it difficult to attend or help in that condition. In some of the situations people rather video the incident than to render emergency care to the victim. There are some emergency cases that require instant care or treatment before getting to the hospital. Most of these emergency conditions are always life threaten, and if no treatment or care is being given immediately this conditions can lead to death. These conditions include; Shock, Severe Lost of blood, cessation of breath, hypoglycemia, unconsciousness, choking, sudden heart attack, etc.
First aid they said, "it is the best treatment you can give to someone who is an emergency state or in a life threaten condition before you can take them to the hospital or before they arrival of any professional trained health personnel." First aid treatments, can be render to Victim, by anyone who has the idea or tips on what to do when in situation of emergency. You must not be a professional train Nurse, Doctor or health personnel, for you to render a Proper First Aid treatments to Someone. The main thing is to know, as the name implies, the first actions you will do or render to someone who is in emergency state or Life Threatening Conditions.
In my own case, I am opportune to be a medical practitioner, which give me a higher opportunity to know and Master my first Aid treatments properly. During my clinical word posting in 2023 I was posted to the accident and emergency word for my clinical experiences, I spent good three weeks A and E ward, I witnessed a lot of emergency conditions I attended to emergency cases, this knowledge have kept me going in medical field and Emergency Conditions.
Just last week, Someone, A Lady had an Asthmatic Attack, people around how sudden moving back, I guess maybe nobody knew what to do at that moment, she was left stranded without help, everyone was just looking at her as she was struggling with her life, has God may have it, I was walking by to get something from the next shop there, when I saw the incident going on I came to intervene, I was able to stabilize her temporarily, even without her Ventolin Inhaler. When I came in, the first thing I did was to take her out from the place of scene. Something must have triggered that attack, which is necessary to take her out for it, however people around her do not know this and they continuous staying there with her and watching her.
I asked for her Ventolin Inhaler and it wasn't available, then I sent for someone to help Rush get Ventolin inhaler from the nearest pharmacy, While I continue to manage her, I sat her upright an ask for one extra person to come assist me, I asked other people who were surrounding that environment to leave and allow her get fresh Air and increase oxygenation level. This was not an easy experience at all because there was no prescribe Ventolin Inhaler around immediately for her, we try to manage it till, the person I sent got the Ventolin Inhaler. After all that, the Ventolin Inhaler was administered to her and after some minutes she was finally stabilized.
I was so weak because the society lack some basic knowledge, in some of the developed country, free courses and lectures are being given to members of the country or citizens from time to time regarding to emergency conditions and their treatments. This will enable people to attend to such conditions even before the arrival of Trained Medical Professionals or before going to the Hospital.
I have a suggestion to the Health System Sector and the State Government. They should initiate a program that will Educate, Inform, Teaches and enable Citizens know the basic First Aid treatments to render to anyone who is in need of such.
