I had the opportunity to visit up to three different universities during and after my university days in the one I got the chance to study in. Two of my visits were brief but long enough to see a few differences between them and the one I attended. One was a longer visit, the university I dreamt of studying at but that didn't work out.
My visit there was to see my sister who got the chance to study there and even though I didn't find the time to browse through her school, I had once visited for an occasion that took me around a side of the school. All I can say is, I still wished I had gotten the admission into that university, things would definitely had been better there.
For a university I never wanted to attend, a course I didn't want to study and a journey I never had an interest for, things would have been better if I had gone to the university I wanted, study the course I wanted and enjoy the journey of meeting new people and having better experience. A lot would have changed and I'll share the "what ifs".
If I had attended a different university, it would be in a different environment entirely. I may have had a good experience where I studied but for the university I wanted to study in, I would have had more opportunities opened for me because I'll be happy to do anything I want to do regarding my course and the environment that I decide to live.
I lived in a place that had me struggling with water every week, the electricity wasn't as good as it should be but manageable. I could totally tell it wouldn't have been the same case if I had attended the university I had in mind at first. I saw how easily the students got water and good electricity which allows for a better study time.
I was the kind who took my studies serious enough to need electricity at various point in time but never had it so I made use of poor lighting which didn't help my sight up till today. Things would definitely had been better with my eyes today if I didn't had to go through that. There is also the reason of no water and I have to search.
Another reason is, I would have had a lot of my friends from home be with me if I attended the university of my choice. Maybe I wouldn't have felt awkward or kinda lost like I was in the school I attended, everything was new to me until I made my first friends who assisted me to blend in and thankfully, I made a lot of memories with them.
The tribe of the land I got close to during my time in school would have changed and maybe would have been better. I didn't like the language but I think it was greatly influenced by the people who I lived close to and saw how they behaved. My lucky star was I didn't like to meddle or mingle too much so I lived even happy with the people.
