This topic is a very brilliant one and I specially like the fact that most of the people writing on this topic are youths... It's more like we're talking to ourselves and reflecting on things affecting us to get out of them and grow positively.
No, I'm not saying it outright that we're committing crimes... But are we really free from committing crimes? In one way or the other, we are involved in crimes especially in covering a crime (A lot of us do this) which is also a kind of crime.
I had to browse through the net to be sure of what crimes are. I had always thought that cyber crime, bribery, theft, drug trafficking and killing were the big crimes that needed attention but it didn't end there after my study.
From my studies,
Crime can be in many forms, even the ones we don't pay attention to and don't see it as punishable, the ones we feel are right for that time... Most of all these are crimes and we must agree to that fact.
Bullying in schools is a crime that has led some kids to their early death.
Disobedience is so rampant with kids at home, they don't listen to their guardians and elders.
Fornication is a crime that has become a normal thing among youth.
Indecent dressing and behaviour in public places.
All these are crimes that are mostly underestimated and given less attention to. But in so many ways, these crimes have grown into something dangerous for safe living in our world today.
Who are the youths? They are those above the age of 15 and below the age 45 (according to my little research) but these crimes are committed mostly by youths who are around the age 15 and below 30 because they are most vibrant and healthy to abuse stuffs.
Well, sometimes it doesn't end with pointing out the flaws... Recommending solutions is the aim and I'll share a few ways we can help our youths to act more responsible and flee from crimes.
No, crimes can't be stopped totally but!!!
Education to the growing kids and youths: Disobedience and peer pressure has caused a lot of youths to commit crimes. Even though some parents have failed in bringing up their kids in the best possible ways, there are good parents whose kids still grow up wayward because they refused to obey and allow peer pressure control them. Parents, elders, and kids have a role to play in this.
A way out is giving more advices and punishing the ones that deserve to be punished.
Provision of Good jobs: Everyone wants to get rich but no doubt, the extent youths go to make the money is what's scary. The most obvious reason is to get out of poverty but that just doesn't justify the crimes committed. The government have a big role to play in this because many indulge in crimes when they are jobless and idle.
A way out is providing better jobs and educating the youths on better ways to live and earn legally.
Prayers and support should be given: Most situations can only be helped with prayers, and I believe lots of what the youths are going through can't totally be stopped but we can only pray that they realise their wrongs and turn a new leaf while we give our support in the best and positive ways.
A way out is being prayerful, hopeful and give support to help our youths become better.
