A Hobby is An activity that one enjoys doing in one's spare time.
Having a hobby that pays is good because you're doing something you Love and at the same time you're earning from it. I have so many Hobbies, but the truth is only a few gives me money, the rest, I just do them for the fun of it
My paying Hobbies include
Baking
I started baking at a very young age, can't even remember when but I know it's something I derive pleasure in doing. Most people say it's very tedious, but it's not. I could bake and decorate a cake all day and wouldn't mind.
Baking has earned me some cool cash, back when I was in secondary school, I would wake up by 4:am in the morning to bake and I would take them to school to sell to my friends, and since I made the best snacks, it was always sold out!! Hehehe. I also make birthday cakes, and I must say it earned me some cool cash too. Baking is something I know that doesn't ever go out of style, it's very easy too so it's a good hobby to make money from. I want to learn baking professionally, so I can make cakes and other snacks for big events too so it's something I see myself doing until I'm old. Just a side hustle tho.
Crocheting
I must say I'm a lucky girl because almost everything I do, I didn't learn, they come out naturally I only learn to perfect my work. I don't know if you get what I mean.
Back when I was still in school I would make crocheted bags, Hair packers, bracelets, and tablecloths with yarn and I would sell a few and earn some cash from it too. It's something I find so much joy in making.
After so many years of not crocheting, I suddenly realized I had a hobby of crocheting so I decided to go pick up my hook and start crocheting again. Tho I'm still learning how to make a few things. I've made several clothes, bikinis, and a Beanie too and I've earned some cool cash from making them. I have a client now that wants me to make a few Beanies for her baby. Some crocheted items take a long time to make while some don't, but it's still something I see myself doing to earn some extra cash along the line.
Hair Dressing
I've never learned how to make hair but it's something that came out naturally. I love hairdressing, tho it can be very tiring at times because you have to stand and braid, but is it something I earn cool cash from? OH YES!!
I braid hair and make wigs and I earn a good amount of money from it and is also something I love doing, but not too much tho because of the body aches that come with it. The good part about is you get paid instantly and the more hair you can finish a day, the better. Hairdressing is a hobby I'm sure I would stop doing only when my hands become old and shaky, and can no longer braid again hahaha, until then, we move.
Writing and singing
singing here on Hive is something I do effortlessly and it earns me some cash too. I'm going to sing until I get old and can't remember the lyrics to any song again.
my writing is very Rusty, but thanks to Hive, I'm doing something I never thought I would do. Before joining Hive, I was thinking about what I had to offer because writing wasn't my thing. I do write songs, poems, and other short materials but not something this long. Seeing the fact that I could write down my thoughts on a topic, and still get people to see things from my perspective and still relate to it is amazing, and In All of this, I'm still earning from it. I see myself doing these for a very long time.
All of these are things I enjoy doing and yes, they earn me some cool cash now and then.
