How are you all? Today I'm going to make Sindhi chicken biryani for my family.
first experience :
Here I'm going to share my first blunder πππ in biryani. When i was making biryani my chicken was over cooked. My boiled rice was almost like porridge. I go to my mother proudly and ask her today if you will eat the world's best biryani in your life. She smiled and came after me, her first glance on rice was π±π±π±π±π±Where is the rice? I ask her to bowl.
She asked me OK , no problem , we will make something else from these ruined rice.
Then she boiled other rice and made biryani.
All of my family members enjoyed eating.
Only me and my mom know the blunder behind this.She just smiles and eats.
Now back to our recipe. Here we need
Ingredients:
Rice 2 Β½ cup
Chicken. Β½ kilogram
Cooking oil Β½ Cup
Ginger garlic paste. 1 tablespoon
Onion 2 large
Tomato. 2 medium
Potato. 1 large
Water. As required
Plum dry. 4 - 5
Whole spices:
Cumin seed. 1 tablespoon
Star anise. Β½ piece
Cinnamon few small pieces
Bay leaves. 2
Black cardamom 3
Green cardamom. 3
Cloves. Few
Whole Black pepper. Β½ tablespoon
Spices:
Biryani masala 1 tablespoon
Salt vv1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder Β½ tablespoon
Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
Coriander powder. 1 tablespoon
Procedure:
Boiling rice π:
Tip:Soak rice 30 minutes before boiling
In a pan add 6 glasses of water. Add salt 2 tablespoon, cinnamon stick small pieces,cloves 3 to 4,bay leaves, green cardamom, Black cardamom, oil 1 tablespoon.
After it came boiling add rice and boil them until it Cooked β
.
Take them out and strain through water .
Chicken Frying:
In Β½ cup of oil add chicken and fry until it tenderises.
Add salt Β½ teaspoon and mix it well.
Sprinkle yellow food colour and mix it well.
Boiling potatoes:
In a pan add 3 cups of water, add a little bit of salt,pinch yellow food colour and potatoes.
Boil it well.
Masala making:
In a pan add oil and fry onion into it until golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and sautΓ© it .
Add tomatoes and all spices and cook it.
Also add soaked dry plum.
Cook until the oil separates.
Add boiled potatoes and chicken and mix well.
Layering:
Grease the pan and add a small portion of rice then add chicken mixture then spread layer of rice then chicken.
Add rice layer.
Now sprinkle yellow food colour on it.cover it well.
Put it on a lower medium flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
Your biryani is ready to eat.Serve with raita.
I love to eat with cold drinks. πI know cold drinks are not good for health but I enjoy this combination πππ
