Hello Hive Friends, How are you guys today? I hope all my friends are fine. In the past few days I have seen that my friends have entered a very interesting Contest, and on this occasion I would also like to take part in the Sunday Contest -02 Edition-02.
In the area where I live, marriage is indeed something that I really look forward to those who haven't married yet. The prospective groom and bride-to-be before carrying out their wedding must first prepare several things. There are several stages in the customary marriage in the Aceh area.
1. Ba Ranup, This is a hereditary tradition from the past until now which is no stranger to a man doing to propose to the woman he loves. At the appointed time, parents and elders in the family of the prospective groom go to the house of the woman's parents to bring betel to strengthen the bond. After doing that, the groom says goodbye to go home and the bride's family will discuss whether or not the application is accepted.
2. Stages of Engagement ( Jak Ba Tanda ) This engagement detainee is carried out after knowing whether the application has been received, if the application has been received then, it remains only to arrange time to do the engagement. The groom's family will go back to the bride's house to discuss when the wedding day will take place (Peukong Haba). It is also discussed about determining the amount of dowry requested by the woman's family, this is called (Jeulamee). In the engagement event, usually the male family also brings an engagement ring, this engagement ring is a gold ring. In addition, the men also brought food from the typical Aceh region, brought a set of clothes and also brought jewelry according to their abilities. In the course of the engagement relationship between the two prospective brides and grooms, this is seen from which party decides it, if for example the decision is from the male side, the gold ring that has been given will be considered lost. But if it is from the woman who decides to eat the gold that has been brought by the man, it must be returned twice as much.
3. Traditional Aceh Weddings. In Acehnese custom, marriage is carried out in the presence of Mr. Kadi or Mr. Penghulu, this is called the Ijab Kabul process and is attended by a marriage guardian from a woman, witnesses and also the family of the bride and groom. Once legal, the party will be held. The marriage approval process is carried out on the day before the party and some is carried out on the same day on the day of the party. In the wedding ceremony in the aceh area, it was held twice, first the party was held at the bride's place, so the groom went to the woman's place by bringing an escort group, then the groom also brought food and some jewelry clothes according to his ability, the bride's house has also been decorated with a very beautiful aisle in accordance with the Aceh traditional aisle model. When the groom arrives at the bride's house, he is warmly welcomed, then he is invited to go up to the aisle, the two pairs of bride and groom sit on the aisle and the group of the groom sits in front of the aisle to eat together the food that has been prepared. by the bride's family. After that, the photos of the bride and groom were held. Then the second wedding party is held at the groom's place, this is almost the same as the first at the woman's place. So if the party at the women's house is called (Preeh Linto Baro) while the party at the men's place is called (Preeh Dara Baro).
This is the traditional wedding ceremony in my area of Aceh, Indonesia, I hope you like it. Thank you to all friends who have seen and read it. Thank you from me.
