Weather is a natural phenomenon that often occur all the time in which human beings can not dictate it occurrence but we all have to deal with its effects when it rises.
Talking about the weather of where I am currently (North Central Nigeria), we have been experiencing dryness for some days now. The Climatic change can not be predicted again because we no longer understand the weather condition.
Compare to this time last year (2021), we experienced continuous rain and everywhere was flooded but now, reverse is the case. It rained once last week and since then we have been having dryness and cloudy atmosphere.
The cloud would form as if it would rain but later it will disappear. In the morning You might wake up and discover there is no trace of cloud, in few hours there will be dark clouds. Couple of hours later, the sun will be shining brightly that same day. Currently here, the weather has been fluctuating, we really need RAIN!
The effect of change in weather condition can be good to some people while it is bad to others.
To those celebrating Eid; it was a favorable sunny day for them, because no rain to disrupt the Eid prayer.
To Farmers; the agribusiness has been affected badly, majority of farmers are now going through stress of irrigating their farms. The crops are not germinating as expected, they really need continuous rain not excessive one though, for proper growth.
To Traders and Transporters; they love this weather change. Because no rain to disrupt their day to day activities.
To Children that what to play outside, they love the dry days because it won't hinder their various outdoor parties and games.
To owners of bars, eateries or restaurants and delivery agents they also love the dry days because people will be around to place orders on what they sell.
To water corporation ministry, it has been a challenging moment. Because the level of water in dams has reduced drastically.
Personally, I feel we need moderate rain fall in my area, to have increase in farm yields and also to moisturize the surroundings.
