Parties are social gatherings that are filled with lots of activities for fun and entertainment. Parties are been organised to celebrate very important moments in people's life like wedding ceremony, birthday, house warming, achievement of a project, anniversaries, baby showers and so on, and at parties various activities are held so as to have fun and memorable moments.
In my part of the world, we so much love parties in Nigeria to the extent that some people can borrow from financial institutions just because they want to organize societal party or spend lavishly on what to wear to parties.
I also love attending parties, because I love sharing in others joy cause I believe when I celebrate with others, things of joy will also not cease in my life, so I love attending events but I don't spend lavishly, I do my things within my budget.
My cousin got married two years ago, myself, siblings and parents attended the ceremony cause the bride was my Dad's elder brother's daughter, so it was a family function. The engagement ceremony was fun filled cause the master of ceremony did a great job that day, in which all attendees commended her efforts. We all danced in excitement with the couple and prayed for them to have a blissful union.
The church service was also awesome, after the service we all went to a hall for the reception. The reception program was awesome, we wined and dined in excitement, the master of ceremony (MC) was a comedian, his jokes was extraordinary, we laughed and laughed and laughed till we were tired of laughing, the moment was quite memorable for all.
Then we got to the fun part of the event which was Games. Firstly, the children's game, this part made everyone almost crack out their ribs, the game was only for children from age range 8 to 12years. They were asked to give local names (Yoruba) of some places, animals and things, chaiii come see ridiculous names and pronunciations from those little kids.
Everyone laughed out really loud, but eventually a smart boy won the game and he was gifted a cartoon of noodles, he was excited and some guest also appreciated the boy's mother for his ability to understand his indigenous language, I enjoyed the game, it was very funny.
Then to round up the games, the MC asked the groom to lift up his bride. At that moment, everyone was looking forward to the ability of the groom not knowing that another thing would happen. The groom was exhausted, instead for him to whisper to the MC that he doesn't have the strength, he didn't.
The MC ordered everyone to count down from 3 to 1 for the groom to lift the bride, so when we all shouted 1, only God knows what went wrong, the next thing we saw was the fall of the couple, like seriously 😱 both husband and wife were on the floor🤣🤣. Everyone bursted into laughter because we were all shocked and surprised, it was really a funny moment.🤣🤣
Till now, whenever we remembered the fall of my cousin and her husband, we make jest of them and laugh about it.
Thanks for reading and Happy Weekend!
