There's this, my beautiful friend, that turned sister. We happen to be very close when we are in school. But you know, no matter how close we are, we are definitely going to let go of each other soon or later.
She got married, and then everything moved on well. Time passes, and she gets pregnant; that's what we have all been waiting for.
On a very good day, she called and said that she was mad at me. I asked her what my offense was, and she said that ever since she got married, I've not paid her a visitation. Sorry, I'm also very busy, and I haven't seen her in over a year since she got married. Her husband also happens to be my friend, so fortunately for me, I have an appointment in her state, so I will just be like, I must kill two birds with one stone, as Yoruba people used to say, that is, I will take advantage of me visiting her state because of my appointment and also make sure I pay a visitation to the family.
I told her and her husband that I was coming over, and they were so very happy to hear that it's been over a year anyway.
I got to their place, and I met both the husband and wife at home since it is the weekend and they do not have anywhere to go. We talk for a very long time, not knowing we will still land at the hospital.
Remember when I said the lady who happens to be my friend is pregnant? At some point, she is not feeling comfortable. She squinted her face, and all my thoughts were that she was having stomach upset, and since she's pregnant, I see it as a normal thing. Well, that's my first time, so it's not my fault.
We keep gisting and vibing, and the husband tells me everything that her wife used to do for him, telling me it's good to get married. The wife also keeps asking me the same question. Well, to cut a long story short, this young lady started sweating a lot. And start holding her Tommy, and that is where our conversations end.
That was when I realized she needed to be transferred to the hospital. At some point, me and the husband got really confused because I did not know what to do, and since the husband was also having her first child, he was scared too. Well, we managed to get her into the car and drive her to the hospital.
We were at the hospital praying for her, and then when I got there, I saw a lot of things. Some people are happy, and some people are crying. Well, you can only witness two things at the hospital: nothing fun is there, and sometimes it's a scary place to be. Some are dying, while others are coming to life. I actually appreciated God when I got there.
After spending some hours at the hospital, it's good news that she gave birth to a bouncing Baby girl. I happen to be the most grateful person on earth that day because I've seen people crying at the hospital, so I'm already getting scared of that place.
If you are healthy, you won't know what God has done for you until you see some people who don't have what you have.
