The world has evolved, we are in the era of artificial intelligence, and era where technology is used to make life easier and less stress-free. I wouldn't say completely stress-free, but each passing day, has new technology emerges, the lesser they make our workload and stress.
In regards to reading, technology has massively helped us in the sense that we do not need to go to a library before we can read. Rather, we can download our books online from our comfort zone with our phones through the help of technology. Technology brought about the existence of E-learning, E-library, and E-books.
The way the world has revolved, if we do not evolve with the world, we would be left behind and be stuck with the old fashioned way of doing things. We do not need to do the stress carry hundreds, thousands, or millions of books in our hands that would weigh us down. Or can even be torn or wet by water. With the help of technology we can now have as much books as possible on our smart phones and can download as much books as possible on our smart phone which can be gotten from a free site and is stored in our phone.
Not only can we read with our phone with the help of E-books. We can also take down notes as we read on our smart phones on our note pad.
~ E-books save us the stress of walking all the way to the library.
~ E-books can be read anytime, anywhere as we please.
~ E-books can help us save as many books as we want, on one device.
~ E~books are mobile, they can be carried everywhere without stress.
~E-books can be kept in our pocket or purse with the help of our smart phones.
I remembered during my university days i can count how many times i went to library to read books 📚 me as a person i don't like going to library at all because i can easily download everything on my phone and access it anytime i want to, imagine carrying books around all the time when you can just pick up your phone and have thousands of E-books on it and it won't be heavy at all. Technology has made everything easy even if our forefathers had access to E-books they would have been glad to have it all the time, because who doesn't like good things? where by some disadvantages of going along with books 📚 include
heaviness of the book and it is not even possible to go around with hundred of books at a time, as if that wasn't enough the book can be easily torn into pieces. oh! yes, you might say what if the phone get lost, or get stolen even that has solutions, because you can easily save your E-books on the internet either google drive or clouds, and you can easily have access to it later for future use at anytime. Do you now see how easy the E-books is better than going around with books all around.
Furthermore, our lecturers can ask us to buy a book worth 5thousands naira and some books are more expensive than that. In fact, in the advance schools there are some books that worth 100 thousands naira and so on now imagine you can download a book a Worth hundred thousand naira in less than 10minutes on your phone, how easy that looks E-books reduced the cost of buying alot of books, because we can just download it even to our assignment there is no need of going to the library anymore.
In conclusion, apart from the fact that books are not easy to go around with, you can easily take your phone even in a journey and read when you are comfortable the benefits of E-books can not be overemphasized because it's so broad.
