From childhood we grow up hearing a lot that money cannot bring happiness. It is very nice to hear. Maybe there is some truth. Because money can't buy love, can't buy real relationships, or can't buy complete peace of mind, but as I get older, I've started to understand one thing that many of those who say money doesn't buy happiness may never have spent the night thinking about the lack of money.
Real life is so hard when you have to worry about rent at the end of the month, fear of family medical expenses, or the fact that you can't do things just because of money despite your desire, when money doesn't buy happiness seems like a far-fetched philosophy.
It seems to me that money does not directly bring happiness, but it does facilitate the path to happiness. Because money gives you security. Gives you the power to take certain decisions as you wish. Gives you the opportunity to do something good for your family. And best of all it reduces a lot of unnecessary stress.
Think what will be the definition of happiness for a father when he cannot get his child treated due to lack of money? Or how a man can find peace of mind when he thinks only of survival every day. We often think of happiness as something very big but in reality happiness is often found in very simple things like having a good family taking care of our own needs spending quality time with loved ones. And money often plays a role behind these simple happiness.
But it is also true that only having money does not make people happy. There are many rich people in the world who do not have peace in their lives. Because money can make life easier, but it cannot fill all the gaps in life. I think that money is actually happiness or money is a means towards happiness.
It's the kind of thing that takes some of the weight off your shoulders, helps you breathe a little easier. And when a person gets a little relief from the daily fears and tensions, then he begins to experience the small pleasures of life.
