A few years ago, the idea of earning money online felt like a dream to me. I used to watch videos of people claiming they made thousands from their phone, and honestly, it looked fake. I didn’t believe someone in a small town, with a budget phone and no special skills, could really create income online.
But slowly, something changed in me.
I started reading more, learning more, and experimenting with different platforms. And today, I’m seriously trying to build multiple online income streams — not overnight, not magically — but through slow, consistent effort.
This post is not a tutorial.
It’s not advice.
It's simply my real journey as a beginner trying to earn online using only my phone.
And if you’re on the same path, maybe this will give you a little clarity or motivation.
Why I Started Taking Online Income Seriously
I’m 25 now, and I realized something important:
I don’t want my entire future to depend on one job or one source of income.
I want flexibility.
I want growth.
I want to build something that compounds with time.
And honestly…
I wanted to escape the habit of wasting hours on my phone watching movies and distractions. If I can use the same phone to learn, create, and earn — why not?
It suddenly made sense.
What I’m Focusing on Right Now
Instead of jumping into 20 things at once, I’m building slowly and deliberately. Here are the platforms I’ve started experimenting with:
1️⃣ Hive — Blogging, Community & Consistent Effort
This platform is different from everything else because:
You earn by posting
You earn by commenting
You earn by engaging
You earn by being consistent
But more importantly:
You grow because of people, not algorithms.
Hive feels like a long-term skill-building platform.
Writing regularly improves communication, clarity, and discipline — all of which help in life and business.
My goal on Hive is simple:
Post 3–4 times a week
Share real experiences
Comment on at least 10 posts a day
Grow at least 1% every single day
Let’s see where this takes me in one year.
2️⃣ Medium / Tumblr — Sharing My Thoughts Publicly
I’ve started posting small reflections and ideas. I don’t expect big money here immediately, but I know writing daily makes the mind sharper and the thinking clearer.
Even if I earn ₹0 some days, the habit is worth it.
3️⃣ Micro-income Experiments
I’ve been testing small ways to earn like:
Affiliate marketing
Selling ebooks
Posting short reels with deals
Blogging on different platforms
Learning digital marketing basics
Right now, the income is not big.
But the learning is huge.
And I believe that’s how every online journey begins — small, quiet steps that turn into big skills.
The Hardest Part of Online Earning
Let me be very honest:
The hardest part is consistency.
It’s easy to feel motivated for one day.
It’s easy to try something new for a week.
But staying patient for months, especially when income is small… that’s where 99% people give up.
What I’ve learned:
I don’t need to be perfect
I just need to show up every day
If I stay consistent for 3 years, I will NOT be in the same position
Discipline is more powerful than motivation.
What I’m Trying to Improve Daily
I’m not perfect, far from it. But here are the small things I’m fixing every day:
✔ Reducing distractions
Less movies, less scrolling, more creating.
✔ Tracking my habits
Even simple tracking makes you conscious.
✔ Learning for at least 15 minutes daily
Marketing, writing, sales, business — anything useful.
✔ Posting something online daily
Even a small post creates momentum.
✔ Building confidence slowly
Online earning is not only about money — it’s also about mindset.
My Long-Term Goal
In 3 years, I want to:
Build at least 2–3 steady income sources
Improve my communication and writing
Create content consistently
Grow financially and mentally
Build a long-term asset — my online presence
Even if it starts slow, I don’t want to quit this time.
Why I’m Sharing This Journey Publicly
Because I want to be accountable.
Because I want to look back after 6 months and see how far I’ve come.
Because I want to connect with people who are also trying to build something meaningful.
And because I believe many others are struggling with the same things:
Distractions
Lack of consistency
Low confidence
Starting small
Feeling lost sometimes
If that’s you — I understand.
And I hope we grow together.
