Need I not forget how money can get you into rooms your personality can’t get you into. This is to emphasize how important money is in our world today. I for one am always in a bad mood when I don’t have money. This is because I have bills to pay and responsibilities to attend to. Having no money means I can’t attend to lots of my duties and this leads to stress which is bad for my mental health. I bet most of you also are always in a bad mood when you don’t have money. It’s normal to feel frustrated when you need money urgently but don’t know when a miracle is gonna happen for you.
In the midst of all these, most of us tend to get too consumed in our quest to make money we forget who we are, our moral and values and even to some extent neglect our loved one and sometimes out these same people in danger. We have all seen the movies where someone is in so much debt they have to resort to selling drugs to earn a living. It isn’t just in movies, that is the life most people out there are living. You and I might have had it easy, but some people don’t have it that way. This is why I do not judge people because I probably would do worse if I was in their position, or maybe not.
Money can change us a lot, both in good and bad ways. And the trick I have learnt about money is contentment. You can have all the money in the world and still not be okay. You’re probably not using all that money for anything, but you’re too selfish amassing a lot of money just for having it sake. Once you’re not content with what you have as an individual, it’s easy to fall in a dark place. This is where you see people sacrificing their family for money, petty fights here and there, corruption and a whole lot. And once any of these activities starts because of money, a lot of harm is bound be been recorded.
Money is really a good thing, I’m not even going to lie about it. But too much love for money isn’t healthy. One should be content with what he or she has. If you have the means to earn more and use it for good, go for it. But don’t get selfish to the extent of risking your life and that of others all for money. What is money if you can’t spend it on yourself and your loved ones? What is money if you end up dead because you didn’t make time to enjoy and have fun with the same money you were working day and night for? I believe I have said enough an I word to a wise is enough!
