EVALUATING MY HIVE GOALS

Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.

Indeed, the importance of goal setting can never be overemphasized. Have you ever boarded a vehicle without a specific destination? I have come to believe that life without a goal is like "not" defining your purpose of existence. Aside from hive, we all have other areas of our life that need to be defined to remain focused on achieving that.

Goal setting helps one to stay focused and motivated. With your goals written down, you will be forced to be productive, that is, if you are disciplined enough to follow your set goals. One thing is to set a goal and another thing is to work towards achieving a set GOAL but the truth is that it will keep you on the right track 👌

To be sincere, I didn't set any goal on my arrival in this Blockchain until 5 months after when I was accepted as a beneficiary into the #newbies initiative program. I can't thank Hive account@starstrings01 enough for this👌. I joined hive in October 2021 and was privileged to set my goal in March this year through the help of the newbie's program. However, my goal setting then was for 3 months according to the instruction but was later extended to 5 months. After the program, having learned and experienced the benefits of goal setting in hive, I quickly set another goal for the rest of the year. I can say that my goal setting for this year has been batch by batch 😂

A quick recount of my goals

From March to August this year still under the newbie program then, I set a goal of growing my HP, followers, reputation, and engagement and by August 15th, 2022, I had a total of 637 HP, 178 followers, and 65 reputations. Like I said before, I had a batch-by-batch goal setting which I stated the reason above but the most important thing is following my set goals judiciously. So I set another goal of achieving 1k HP on my 1st year in hive which is this month as well and I am glad to say that I achieved it!

The goals/plans I set for the remaining months of the year are to achieve 1,300 HP, 68 Reputation, 300 followers, and increase my level of engagement in the chain.

*So far, there has been some little progress, currently, I have 1,028 HP.

I recently started powering up hives to grow my Hive power and contribute to the growth of the Blockchain too. This will also increase my curation reward, so it's a win-win for all. So far, I haven't powdered down since I joined hive and I wish it won't happen soon. My reputation, is at 67 as of today, with 238 followers. My engagement is still not bad and I hope to step up my game on this*.

Other plans for the rest of the year are all about investment. I plan to invest in second-layer tokens in hive, and also accumulate a good number of liquid hive as we await the bull market. Tokens like bro and hiq are already on the move. I have gotten little quantities of these tokens in my hive engine, I bought some hive liquid too using my HBD and some hive engine tokens as well. My investment goal is still in progress and I hope to attain my heart's desire on this project before the year runs out.

In conclusion, goal setting is vital to achieving success. Write down your goals, be disciplined, work hard and pray, these are my secret to my little achievement so far! I hope and I am working on getting better someday!
