Social media is one invention that has awoken the giant in the lives of many. A lot of people in our world today have discovered what they are capable of doing with the help of social media.

Honestly, I do not want to imagine a life without social media. The absence of social media in the present world would throw us back to what the world looked like in the 1990s. Social media is one thing that has changed how things flow in our world today. A lot of businesses are flourishing with the help of social media. No doubt, many businessmen and women today don't even have smart phones, but yet, they still go on with their businesses. But truth be told, social media has helped many vendors reach out to larger audiences and far-away customers across borders. People in Nigeria close deals with someone in the United Kingdom, courtesy of social media, and life becomes easier. Personally, I have sold landed properties through real estate networking in other states in Nigeria from the comfort of my bed and many others. Life makes more sense and is easier because of this technology.
No social media would also mean that my gadgets would almost be useless because they would only serve for communication and not perform online activities anymore. The flow of business for some people who sell online will be slow. They will only depend on the physical market to buy and sell, which was how it used to be in the olden days. I have heard and read how it was for our forefathers those days, and I do not want to experience such. We have upgraded; there has been development to assist humanity through the use of social media, and despite its negative side, millions of people still take advantage of the positive side to thrive in our present world.

If not for social media, I wouldn't have discovered this writing skill that has been making life softer for me through my earnings. I have been entertained and feel happier in my down time through social media. It keeps me informed about the happenings around me and has increased my business. Just two days ago, I made a yummy profit from a business I did online. I have been blessed with a diverse knowledge base from other authors through social media. It's just a faster medium to express myself, read about others, and communicate with people effectively. Sometimes, I decide to view an item I want to purchase from a faraway place through images and videos before making a decision. How would I do this without social media? Of course, it may still be achievable, but with lots of stress and time to spend running to and fro.
The only thing that is constant is change. If I wake up tomorrow to a non-social media world, it will definitely change many things about me. From a once-lively lifestyle to a boring one. It would also mean that I would stop earning crypto. Oh no! Billionaires have been produced by this same Crypto. People have built their brand and secured a future for their future generations through this medium. It's positive impact on the life of society is just too many to mention, but a few. It's a great development, which I hope will last as long as we exist in this world. There should be no disconnection of any sort from this development. Life wouldn't be any better for me without social media, even though I will try to adapt to whatever is being presented to our world.
