Personally, I enjoy the yuletide season more celebrating with my friends and family. Doing it on my own wouldn't be fun, you know, no matter how much of an introvert I am, but of course I am not an introvert, hehehe. Remember this popular saying, "The more the merrier." What are celebrations without friends and family?
So yeah, for the Yuletide season, which is very much fast approaching, I already set out some low-key plans with my family and a few of my friends who wouldn't be traveling to their hometown this year like me. It's just a simple plan to make the season a memorable one while ensuring that our kids and husbands are happy.
So one of the things we plan is food. Yea, food…very important, and it's not just a foreign food but the same Christmas rice but in an upgraded manner to spice things up and have a more enjoyable meal. We just gathered last Sunday, and everyone of us shared meal ideas, which we do prepare in our different homes. We brought the ideas together and plan to cook the meals in our various homes this season. We shared important procedures and the right spices to make the meal rich. The best part of this meal plan was that we included our native delicacies, not just different kinds of rice preparations but also a touch of native meals that we rarely cook here in the city with simple dessert ideas.
I bet it's going to be fun without spending much. Information is power. While my friends and I gathered last Sunday to talk about these meals, I learned something new, something I am going to add to my stew to make it unique. Wow... I am curious to really try this out. Don't be angry; I wouldn't share it here unless you will pay me some HBDs 😉. I hope wouldn't see this post, but even if she sees it, then she can help me bill
. 😌That's all about my meal plan.
The next on the list is a simple adventure. Should I call it an adventure? Maybe, but there is a new water park and resort that is opening tomorrow, the 13th of December.
My friends and I already took a sneak peek at the center, and it looked like Canada in Nigeria, lol. The plan is to storm this park, explore the whole place with the kids, and have fun. Just this one outing with my friends and my kids; other simple activities will be with my family, like seeing movies, indoor games, dancing competitions, and the like.
No biggie, just something on a low key, but it promises to be fun and lovely. Even though my family and I aren't traveling, we will be sure to have a nice time together here in Lagos.
That's all for today regarding my plans for the coming celebrations. How about you? Love to share yours? That would be great.
