Many people would embrace time travel if it were possible so they could change certain mistakes and be alright. At the surface, it looks like a treasure to behold, having the opportunity to erase our past mistakes.
Imagine if I could go back to change some wrong decisions I made in the past? Oh! I would be very glad about the turnout. Just a few days back, I met a woman, and our interactions led me to many regrets about my past decisions. I wish I had listened to my brother, but no, impatience dealt with me back then, leading me to a bad decision I am still living with to date. It's even hard to spill the beans exactly the way it happened, but the beauty of it is that I have been using the lessons learned from that singular bad decision of mine to guide those around me. And in other aspects of my life, I have made sure not to repeat similar mistakes going forward.
I also had a history of the way spoken words nearly tore my marriage. Imagine travelling back to erase that so it didn't happen at all. With all the drama and emotional trauma I passed through back then, it would be something nice to behold. Life will just be reckless, you know; you do things, and you undo them. Wow!
but then....
Would life still have value if we were able to just go back and change things to what we really wanted?
Life is more beautiful with its imperfections. The mistakes of humans, the rising and falling, and the storms we face and pull out of at different points in our lives shape us because we definitely learn from it all for good. So all the past mistakes give room for a better present when we implement lessons learned through the past experiences.
I also think that it's not even ethical trying to travel back in time and change certain mistakes but rather a dilemma knowing that such action might change other people's lives who didn't give us the permission for that. Again, accepting such change will leave our world with no history.... What's life without imperfections? My past mistakes can be a guide to teach my children in the present...if it's wiped and corrected through the time travel, I won't have any history to learn from or teach others through that. Being able to undo mistakes and change choices isn't the best thing that could happen to humanity from my point of view.
Overall, mistakes are part of life, and one can grow through that upon reflection and striving not to repeat the same mistakes in the future, and that's the beauty of life. No need to pursue perfections, but rather accept our mistakes and work on improvement. On the brighter side, knowing that we can't rewind the time can help us to keep our actions and decisions in check.
