There's no better feeling than being a problem solver, and at this point in my life I am excited that I can solve problems using my code. I have alot to be happy and grateful for but I think the thing that gives me joy the most is the skills and certificates am currently acquiring.
I am a Computer science graduate but after school I realized that I had only theoretical knowledge and didn't really have practical skills from all my years of studying programming and various other areas of computer science.
This was when I knew the difference between passing exams and solving real world problems. The world has so many problems and people face different kinds of challenges in their businesses, offices, firms and organizations. This was what motivated me to put in my best into studying new skills that would be relevant in today's and tomorrow world.
The Skills/Certificates I Recently Acquired |
|---|
I Acquired skills on Machine Learning, Software Development and AI Automations. It is very obvious that the world is changing and alot of worlflows are moving from manual to digital flow, but how many people are moving uptrend with the flow?
In the the next 20-30 years, machines would be doing most of the work while humans would try to get more creative and improve on the already existing systems. So am excited to start building my tomorrow's world today.
This dream of mine came with it's struggles and sleepless nights because I became like a mad man seeking strange knowledge. I would watch tutorial videos of about 12 hours and you can imagine how stressful that was.
Other times I would try to practice what I had learned and boom, I would not even realize how another 12 hours passed. Sometimes I spend more than 2 days trying to fix a liitle bug and I nearly gave up, lol.
But now, am excited because all the struggle and sleepless nights were worth it. I now feel like a magician that can fix any problem, and this is one of the best feeling in the world. Now I desire to upscale and improve in my skills and get better at my craft.
Now I help businesses move from manual to automatic workflow and I build complex websites using tools and programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Make, n8n, Zapier and alot more. The future is being built by people who decided to start building, and I am one of them now. That feels like enough for today, and for whatever I learn tomorrow.
My experience has taught me something very intresting about the human brain. Whenever we try to do something new, our brain tries to stop us because it thinks it's protecting us from going out of our comfort zone. But the truth is that if we push beyond that comfort zone, we unlock another phase of our growth and our brain gets familiar with it as we repeat.
This has made me to realize that I can do anything if I so desire. And now, am gradually learning a new programming language called Solidity where I can build web3 applications and DApps on the the Ethereum blockchain. I am even more excited to see what the future holds for me, but for now, I just have to keep learning.
