Greetings bosses and welcome to my post.
Blogging on its own is very sweet, sweeter than sugar(to me) but do you know what makes it more interesting? When your post gets curated. Many people mainly authors who hail from Steemit, don't really understand the concept of curation in hive.

Some think that hive is like Steemit where everything is centralized by the Steemit team (I'm not trying to bad mouth the platform or something). Hive is very much different than that and is much more better than that from my perspective though.
Curation in hive is on a different level and an author must willing to engage and interact with other authors before he can be given face. Hive promotes engagement without even announcing it as much. Hive from my perspective is the true definition of decentralization and it has proven in many ways this fact.
In other to understand the concept of curation in hive, one must first understand the meaning of voting power as well as voting weight.
These terms are completely different in all ramifications and they don't mean anything alike.
Voting power is basically the amount of vote you can cast on other authors article and this is greatly influenced by your hive power. For example, an author with 5000 hive power has a huge voting power when compared with someone who has 5000 hive that is not powered up
While voting weight is the percentage at which you set before casting a vote in a post of interest. Voting weight is measured from 0 to 100%.

Consequently, lots of big curators out there wants their voting weight to be above 90%, though as small as 10% of their vote is large and significant enough to bring a vote depth that will show his/her view in a given content.
Basically, higher stake is required for a better expression on oneself in another authors content, however, the voting depth a curator cast is largely dependent on their thoughts on the post in question and the depth can be high, low or moderate (all depending on the curators view), but when the hive power is small, the author will have little to impact on the cherished post of curation irrespective of their voting depth.
The fact that curation is a lucrative and lovely act is something that has no doubt been in our hearts but the impact of your curation on others is dependent widely/largely on the amount of hive power (not hive) you have.
I am in no position to say what works for you, but I have recently come to a realization that in other to get, one must be willing to give.
What will you give you may ask?
Your time to engage positively with others, your support to other people posts both by curation (irrespective of your hive power) and by leaving a meaningful and interactive comment.
Thank you for reading through, I really appreciate you.
I hope to see you next time.
