Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. Our world keeps changing with each passing day. Every single day, one development or the other is introduced to the world we live in. Funny how some affect our lives positively and some affect our lives negatively, but we still welcome them with open arms, call it development, and are glad it came no matter how it affects us. In the space of a few years, our world has changed to a point where it is even hard to recognise. Things we thought would only be possible in 10 or 20 years' time were made possible in 2 or 3 years.

Things like artificial intelligence were only seen in sci-fi movies, and even on a podcast I saw on TikTok as at 2021, he was saying things like artificial intelligence would be rampant in our world by 2030 and above, but funny how it is not yet 2030 and artificial intelligence is rampant. Sometimes I hear the names of an AI app or site I never knew existed, more like they are everywhere now, but the ones that can help us solve our problems and some that, if not careful enough when using them, can land you in trouble.
Our forefathers depended on their legs and animals as means of transportation, while we have so many means of transportation to choose from. We can choose to go by bus, personal car, plane, ship or boat, motorcycle, or tricycle whenever we want to travel. It is up to us to choose how we want it to be, but during their time they did not have options. You either take what is there or you stay back. Our generation even has the luxury of cruising in self-driving cars, ones where you just give instructions and relax while they do the rest.
Life in this generation is a lot easier, a lot better. You can get things done easily whether concerning academics or labour, as technology has offered us all the tools and machines to make our work a lot easier. Those days, for academics, you had to keep visiting the library to look for books to help your research, and failure to do so meant there was no way to continue your research. But today, from the comfort of your room or house, you can carry out as many researches as you want. When it comes to labour, those days concrete (cement, sand, and gravel) was mixed manually, that is, people used shovels to make sure concrete was mixed evenly, and you can imagine the stress and pain. But today we have a concrete mixer, a machine that does that without stress.
I think this generation enjoys at least 70% of the things that our forefathers did not enjoy and suffered a lot because of it, but I still think I prefer their generation to ours and would love to be born during that time and not now. During their time, their foods were more natural than what we have in this generation, which is part of the reason we have people in this generation suffering from sicknesses and ailments our forefathers never knew existed. Many of the things we eat in the name of evolution actually come back to haunt us and kill us slowly on the inside, and before we realise it, it is already too late.

Also, currently we have a generation where no one wants to read anymore. A simple question you ask someone, they don't even want to attempt it on their own; instead, they turn to one AI or the other to do it for them. So we are slowly turning into a generation where we will have more dull people than actually smart people, one where 90% of our world depends on what AI has to say because they can no longer think for themselves; they let AI do it for them. I am choosing the generation before ours not because I like to suffer, but because there are things I love about that generation that are not present in ours.
