Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. Christmas is an annual celebration that takes place on the 25th of December. This celebration comes with a lot of packages and a lot of merriment.
It is believed to be a celebration meant for only Christians, but that's wrong, as it is the time where love is shown at its peak, regardless of your religion, color, or race. Christmas is for everyone. Show love to people, and you will also receive love.
As kids, our parents used to get us new clothes and shoes; for this reason, we cannot wait for December 25 so we can put them on. Those days, each time my mom steps out of the house, I rush to try my clothes on š, another childhood memory that makes me hate adulthood.
I also remember how colorful glasses were always part of the clothes gotten for you. Christmas is here again, but this time around in a different style. No new clothes, just the merriment that comes with it, and to enjoy the holidays as well.
Now nobody gets you new clothes and shoes; the only thing you are part of is the food and drinks. Deep down, I still wish someone could get me clothes for Christmas; I miss that feeling. There are plenty of reasons why one should love the festive season (Christmas): if not for the food and drinks, then you should love it because of the way you see people spreading love.
Some people get gifts for each other, neighbors share food amongst themselves, and kids enjoy collecting money from the elders to the fullest. The Christmas season is the time to get what you want and long for; it was an opportunity for us to bring our unnecessary needs to the table.
There are lots of reasons why I love the Christmas season, but one supersedes all, and that reason is Love. During the Christmas season, even enemies tend to show love without knowing they are already doing so.
You see people visiting one another and eating whatever is served on the table; that's love at its peak. That time you won't want to check who was the cook behind the meal prepared; you just aim to eat and head to the next house.
Family members that are based in different places make their way home to spend Christmas with the rest of the family. When you see them cooking in their very big pot, you think it's for the whole community, but it is just for the family.
When the food is ready and served on a very large tray, you see them making fun of themselves while they eat. There's no other way the bond among relatives can grow stronger if it's not done this way, and most of the time, it's Christmas that offers families the opportunity to have almost every member return home.
Christmas helps build love among family members, neighbors, and the entire community. It's that period when you see neighbors sharing food in large quantities amongst themselves.
