Good day, Hive people. I would love to talk about the topic of "risk".
There are a lot of risks we take every day, whether at our workplace, school, at home or while walking.
Before I proceed, I would love to explain what risks mean.
Meaning of risk.
"Risks" can be defined as a loss of something, harm, or danger that's associated with a particular action, situation, or decision of someone or something we do. Taking risks means when we don't consider the consequences of what we do but rather consider the offers of potential for rewards or positive outcomes. Also, taking risks is when we understand that there are benefits to be considered.
I have witnessed how people take risks every day, which results in accidents, and I have even watched how people die instantly when they have accidents. That makes me remember what the Bible scripture said: that there's only one second between life and death. Let me share what happened to me recently that almost cost my life.
I can remember a very Thursday when our course rep called us and said that we had an impromptu test and that everyone should be in school before 10:00 am, while he was just telling us around 9:20 am. All of us were shocked because we were never notified that we were having a test that day, and to make matters worse, we must have been in school at that time.
So I quickly took my bath, dressed up, and rushed to the main road, thinking I would see a shuttle that would carry me to school. The bus is for students; whenever we are going to school, all we have to do is wait for them on the main road, and then they will carry us to school. So when I saw I didn't see anything Shuttle to carry me, I saw a bike passing by I stopped him to take me to school, so when I saw it remained ten minutes before the test and It would take us twenty-five minutes to reach school, so I put pressure on the bike man to be fast because I don't want to be late for the test.
As we were going there were these two trailers on the main road one on the left and the second on the right so I told my bike man to enter their middle because I didn't even think about the risk because I was just focusing on the test I want to write, like God really saved me and the bike man that day as we immediately left their middle the two trailers just hit themselves as I looked back I so shocked and scared that if we didn't leave their middle that's how they would have squeezed us together and that would be the end of my life. Since then, if I remember that day, I used to thank God for sparing my life.
The experience taught me a lesson: no matter what I want to do or where I am going, I should still be careful and not risk it, no matter what. All I have to say is that no matter what, we should always think before risking anything.
Thanks for reading ❤❤❤❤❤.
