Greetings everyone!
Welcome to another new week of #Hivelearners featured contests.
To begin with, we are in an era where every aspect of human life has to do with technology or AI. Technology has taken over from certain things. Gone are the days when my grandparents would be in the local kitchen to cook and use other local tools for work. Trekking a long distance with a local bicycle now it has now been transformed into a modern one that is attractive to many young people. The world of technology has made life easier for us to follow. The majority of people are not using mortar and pestle again to pound pepper or crayfish but a blender, these simple tasks are done with the innovation of technology. Today, social media platforms are the result of technology for easier sending of information to our friends and loved ones from a far distance. No more going to the library for assignments or research, we can sit in the comfort of our homes and do research through the use of the Internet or AI now. During my seminar and project, I didn't bother to use the books in the library, but I used my phone and laptop for the two, and it was a massive outcome.
Furthermore, technology has made it comfortable and convenient for humans. Innovations are coming up every day with technology for the help of people, like the robot built to help people do house chores like washing plates, washing clothes, sweeping, and taking of the children. Yes, they can help those who want to employ them but it will make wives, husbands, and children lazy when it comes to house chores. Doing the house chores alone can burn down calories and other excesses from your body.
Nevertheless, I will not be against the robot helping out, but in my house, I will other robots to be of help to me. Robots don't have feelings, they can be hacked at any time. What if the robot was washing your breakable plates and it got hacked and the plates were not well placed or arranged, all will be broken.
God created my hands for productivity and efficiency, so I must maximize them to the fullest. I had plans for my future family, and everyone in my house must do something; nobody would be idle. The invention of robots can't make my children lazy, or my husband. If I may ask, can a robot cook? Can they give me the taste of the food that I'm longing for? Capitally no, because they aren't humans to perform that duty 😂. There are advantages and disadvantages of technological advancement or innovation in our generation. I believe in the next few years to come, robots will be everywhere in people's kitchens. I pray our brains will not be collected by robots or technology. Our brains, hands, and legs are still intact in Jesus' name. Amen.
Overall, I wouldn't like robots to offer help with house chores and taking care of my children. I want them to be active and participate in everything done at home. And to build parental relationships with my children, which is very pertinent, and it is my responsibility to train them and not robots.
