Growing up, I never really was someone who pays attention to tiny things, especially in movies. All I do is watch the main characters or whatever it is the camera is focused on at the moment and that was it. But about three to four years ago, I started to look way beyond those things.
I started to pay attention to the way the actors act, to how good they are and many other things. One of my favourite things to do when seeing a movie now is to not focus on the people they want us to see, but on the other things in the background, like the extras. This is why sometimes, I end up seeing a movie twice. The first time is to enjoy myself and have a wonderful time like everyone else, while the second time, there's always a lot of pausing at my end because I totally would not be focusing on the main picture anymore but on the tiniest of details I can find.
Sometimes it's the actors reaction to things (it tells me how good of an actor that person is) and most times it's the scenery. I've never really been outside my country before so I always take the opportunity to see how the rest of the world looks like whenever I'm watching a video made in a foreign country. It could be a movie, a tiktok or a YouTube video, I don't care.
Today's contest in the Hive Learners community isn't asking for the scenery or any of the things mentioned up there though, it's about movie soundtracks and I must confess to you, I really suck at remembering the names of songs, especially in movies, even though I do make use of shazam a lot whenever I'm seeing a movie and there's a really cool song playing.
When I saw today's contest topic though, one song immediately came to mind and I decided not to think much about it because I actually do like this song. The name of the song is "Paradise" by "Bazzi" and it's from a movie called "The Sun is also a star".
It's a 2019 romance movie that I saw during that year and for some reason, the song was what came to mind when I saw today's topic. The strange thing about this song is that I'm not really a huge fan of romance movies but somehow, I found myself seeing this movie and of course, it was about two teens who met and fell in love and then circumstances threatened to keep them apart but they eventually found a way to get back together though it took a few years.
So you see, it's your typical cliche romance movie and it was okay, but just as the movie was coming to an end, Paradise by Bazzi came on just as the camera slowly moved upwards to show the skies and immediately, I pulled out my phone and opened my shazam app. It was almost as if my whole reason of seeing that movie was just to discover that song and I'm glad I did.
The song is really cool and I'm sure y'all will love it if and when you do give it a listen. You guys should see the movie too. I suck at reviewing movies so if you do see the movie, I'm sure y'all will find out that my little explanation of the movie up there may not be a hundred percent accurate.
