Today had started with a ravishing hunger. I had skipped dinner last night and was hoping on getting an early breakfast but the universe had something else planned for me. The carpenter I had called to come help me fix my window had arrived a little bit earlier than expected and it turned out that for him to do a very nice job for me, I had to assist him.
You see for the past few weeks, I have been terrorized by mosquitoes and that has always forced me to close my windows early and closing my windows early meant one thing, heat. It was either I opened the windows to receive fresh air and then sacrifice a part of my stomach to mosquitoes or I suffer the heat and not treat malaria.
Anyways, I decided today that enough was enough and I that I was tired of picking between mosquitoes and heat. I called my carpenter the previous day and he promised to show up this morning to cover my windows with good nets that won’t only prevent mosquitoes from coming in but allow some really cool breeze in.
The job lasted for about two hours because I live in the second floor of a two story building so he was climbing up and down the ladder.
But I’m happy that everything is fixed now. This also means that I won’t be leaving my generator on till past midnight to avoid it from getting stolen.
As I type this now, I’m currently sitting in my room with my curtains raised high enough to allow the breeze to come in freely. Tonight’s sleep is going to be a good one, I can feel it already.
