Food is one of the basic need of life. Starvation for a long period can make us prone to sickness like ulcer and Malnutrition, seeing that the food we should eat should be balance diet.
Edition 3 contest on , i will talking about My favorite Food which is Rice.
They are many ways rice can be cooked but i will be showing you how i cooked mine 😊.

Rice is everyone choice, but it is my favorite food.
I can eat it thrice a day afar as it is presented in different form.
The good thing about rice is that it can be cooked in different ways: fried rice, jellof, rice and stew, rice and pepper soup and more.
Preparation on Rice and stew
First, parboil rice.
Some people wash their rice before cooking so they do not have to wash it again. That is another way.
We do that to wash out the starch in rice and also remove some dirt if it is local rice.
After washing put water that would be enough for it to get soft.
- Put salt ( optional)
Stew preparation
- Get your Groundnut oil ready
Fry your chicken, meat or fish
After frying remove them.
I use the same oil so I don't waste oil and also it gives taste to the stew.
- Cut your onion and fry for sometime.
Put curry too
We all know that onion is good for the health.It also gives the stew good taste.
** Put your Tomatoes**
I prefer using satchet and fresh tomatoes.
The fresh tomatoes must be grated.
They all give taste to the stew.
put your ingredients
Put your pepper (must be grated)
Peel Ginger (must be grated)
Salt
Maggi
And any stew spice
Allow everything to to boil for a while before bring down
