Belief is something that is accepted with or without prove.
Some times as we grow up, we just hear that our forefathers have been doing same for generation.
Since we talked about the traditional wedding ceremony as our 2 topic in this week challenge.
I will be talking about traditional Belief in my village towards traditional weddings.
In my village, before any traditional wedding is held, it is our belief that that girl's father will go and see the elders in the compound and take the list with a fee. Even know he has a copy of the bride price, he must still go and pay for the list and invite them for the wedding.
The traditional wedding must also be held in the village, even tho you have your own land or house in the city, you must come back home to do the traditional wedding.
The elders in the compound (uncles) also have their list because they say the girl is also their daughter.This part makes me angry because some uncle you wouldn't know them still your traditional wedding day, they will come and partake in the list.
Some years ago, i asked my dad why must we give our uncle list he said it is the belief and if you don't give them something bor invite them you will be fined or even reported to the community king or chief and you will be punished.
