Hello everyone how are you all doing today? How are you coping with the cold weather? Well, I am going to celebrate my own Christmas and New together this week since I have been busy with work throughout the season.
How did I celebrate the season?
I didn't do much though it was fun but I was busy all through the celebration time and this is how it all started.
Since the 24th of December, I have been busy with work.
At first, one of my customers wanted home service because she was going to do a child dedication on Christmas day so I had to go to her house on Saturday night to make her hair.
On Sunday which is Christmas day, I quickly rush home to prepare for church because there was a special service in the church so I must be there.
I don't work on Sundays but during the festive season, I can't say no to work but nobody booked that Christmas Sunday so I should go to church since I am not working.
The service was about to start when my phone vibrated and I picked up the call only to find out that someone was waiting for me at my shop.
Ladies and their trouble, can't she just make the hair on 24th or 26th? Why this Sunday? I began to ask myself but I don't have a choice because she was new so I must attend to her so that she can keep coming.
I just pray and left the church to shop, and when I got there, she begged me not to be angry that she was going to travel on Monday and that she was busy throughout the 24th which was why she couldn't come and make the hair on those days.
I was angry before but her excuse made me calm a little and that day I was so busy that I didn't remember to capture plenty of pictures of the hair I made.
I got home late because it was Christmas day and people are outside celebrating so I didn't realize that time has gone, my landlord gave me jollof rice and malt but I couldn't eat during the day because I don't want to waste a second so that I can get to make everyone's hair, the food was taken has dinner.
That's how tight my work is during the festive season, some times I don't get to eat all through the day.
On the 31st which is the last day of 2022, I got to shop around 6 am because someone that booked for that day wants to get up by 12 pm so we must finish her hair before then, that day was so stressful but I made sure I didn't do a night that day because from 27th I have been doing night work since everyone wants to make their hair before 31st.
I got to church around 11:30 pm 30 minutes into the new year I was extremely tired but I must be there and all thanks to God for another beautiful year.
I don't celebrate the new year at home because I have another person's hair to make on that day even throughout this first week of the new year am still busy working, I never knew I will be so busy like this because am still very new in that area so I wasn't expecting much people to come to make hair from me since they have where they are doing it before but to my surprise, they turn up.
So next week I will take a week's break to relax take medication and celebrate my own Christmas and New Year.
