When I was in Junior school, I love playing in the rain especially when it rains after school. I remember when I wanted to do my junior WAEC, I got to school without the materials I wanted to use for the exam so I had to go back home to take it. On my way to school, it started and I couldn't wait for it to stop by the time I got to school I was so wet and everyone in the exam all was looking at me.
I had so many experiences with rain since when I was a child and when I grew up I had some experiences too but there is this particular experience that I have with rain that made me sick for almost a week.
Beaten by the rain is something that I like because of the way it makes me feel, I usually get cold in the but I still love the rain anyway.
The funny experience I had with rain was last year Salah, I worked late and I couldn't go home so I had to sleep inside the shop till daybreak. At midnight, the rain fell heavily and the roof of my shop started leaking. It hasn't rained heavily like that since I got the shop so I didn't know the roof work was messed up. I got wet inside the shop without stepping out, I was so cold all through the night.
Immediately it was 6am, I opened the shop to go home and one customer rushed in so that she could make her hair because people started to come.
It was just packing gel so I quickly did it but before I finish another person came, arrr I said that within me because the cold was from inside and I don't want those customers to notice it so I keep packaging myself until 4pm.
I was on my way to where I will take a bike when the rain started falling and there was nowhere to hide so I was just trekking beside the road. One bike man just packed beside me and asked, "Are you going?" I didn't think twice before I jumped on the bike.
But before I got to my destination, I nearly died because it was raining and the bike man couldn't see the road well so he was just entering inside the potholes on the road which was affecting me at the back.
When I got home, I fell sick immediately because that rain beat me beyond my imagination and even hot water couldn't take the cold away until I took sleeping medicine.
When I woke up I felt relieved a little bit I spent almost a week at home before I resumed back to work.
