If I were asked to pitch myself to investors, I wouldn’t start with numbers or projections, but rather with the impact.
I am a teacher and I enjoy writing. At the core of these roles is one mission I am passionate about: transformation. I love how I stand in front of young children, not just to teach subjects but to shape perspectives. I love to build confidence and spark curiosity.
Apart from delivering my lessons, I love to create moments that inspire; ones that make pupils/students believe that growth is possible even when there are systems around trying to limit them.
My strength lies in my ability to connect in a deep and meaningful way. As a teacher, I try to teach in a way that will make pupils and students understand, that is, I translate complex ideas into simple and relatable concepts so they can follow along and understand.
One thing I love doing is paying attention to some particular pupils who love to sit at the back quietly, the ones who think no one should see them and I find ways to draw them in, making them get along and making them understand every child is important and none is less valuable.
Also, as a writer, I love to give my voice to thoughts and experiences that many people can relate to, even when they feel like struggling to express themselves. I write to inspire, to challenge and encourage people.
Another strength of mine is consistency. I try to show up whether I feel inspired or not. I show up for my pupils. I show up for what I love to do best and I show up for growth. By disciplining myself, it has helped me build, not only skills but resilience. I don’t quit just because things are hard.
With all these, I have limited resources just like many people with visions but do not have what it takes to help them progress. And for this, I believe it’s the right place, sponsorship from investors would come in, helping me create a life-changing experience.
For my investment, it’s not only about the financial aspect alone, but also about being strategic. I would appreciate support in accessing better and more efficient teaching tools, digital platforms and learning resources.
These tools would make my classroom effective. I would also want sponsors for professional development, that is, courses, certifications and programs (writing aspects) to help sharpen my skills and expand my horizon.
I look forward to a future where I will build writing platforms where meaningful content is shared - stories, reflections, anecdotes, educational content, etc. These are materials that would definitely help young people and adults to develop their writing skills and knowledge.
Trust me, when I have the right backing who invests in what I have envisioned, I could grow into a consistent publication, create voice-over content and bring educational materials that go beyond the normal classroom settings.
