There was a story I had some time ago. The man was on the verge of death, and knows he was leaving. He called his three daughters and gave them nice life tips. They were all confused, devastated, and bitter in their hearts because they wondered how they would live and survive when their only companion is gone.
This man had no possessions or wealth, since he was only a cleaner in a small company. He told his eldest daughter to stay on the job, because he did not want them to suffer. They were so mad at their dad, but the man gave up the ghost after the last words.
He was buried, and everybody moved on.
A few weeks later, the eldest daughter decided to visit the company her father told her about, and when she arrived there, she submitted a letter of application along with a resume. The owner of the company looked at the resume, and asked “Are you the daughter of Mr...?”
She replied yes, and after a long description, he found out, it was the same cleaner who happens to be her dad.
The owner spoke a lot of good things about the man, and how he maintained his name, even when he was lured to connive with others in stealing the company's money. She was told to go, and will be sent a message. When she got back home, she told all of it to her siblings.
A few days later, she received a message from the company to resume work the following week. She was so excited, and together with her siblings, went to their father's grave to apologize for spitting on him because they thought he never left anything, but a good legacy.
The world is corrupted by so many wicked people, because they chose material things rather than their names. The Bible tells us that a good name is better than wealth and riches. Yes, it's good to work hard to make a fortune, and be rich, but you have to be careful to always put your name first, and never jeopardize it.
When everything else is gone, your name will remain with you forever. Protect your name and maintain a good attitude.
Smile and be nice to others as you will always get noticed.
My personal experience;
(A picture of mine)
If you observe me, I smile a lot. I like to be kind to everyone and I don't discriminate because I see everyone has one.
I didn't expect to be as surprised as I was at my birthday this January. Everyone in the compound planned it together and surprised me. I woke up around 6 a.m., and when I got out, I had trumpets blowing up for me. People gave me presents. I couldn't believe it, as tears of Joy were just rolling down my face.
I traveled last month for two weeks and I never knew I was noticed around the school market, very close to my house. The day I went out to get some things, even people I didn't know kept asking if I travelled because they noticed I didn't pass by. I felt moved.
Whatever we do, we'll be noticed all the time. We will never know who we are motivating and encouraging through our smiles and goodness. People have a lot going on in them, but they don't want it to get any worse. Someone can get depressed, and you never know that your smile could change them completely.
I do not look at people before I show my kindness. I do it with no discrimination. I help and I don't expect anything in return.
So every day, think about putting a smile on the faces of people across you. It helps and can save you as well.
Trust in God only.
I chose to make this last because, above all, putting your trust in God is important. Man will always let you down; I was there several times until I learned to trust God.
The truth is that, God will not descend to help us, but He has placed some people to help us. We can never be angry with those who do not help us, for if God does not allow it, nothing can be done.
You may be amazed at someone you just spoke to, and didn't show up until you pray to God, He may decide to send the same person to you or not. If you don't trust God, everyone will always disappoint you.
Always remember this scripture that says “Woe unto you when you put your trust in man, instead of God.” It is only God that can turn a person's heart towards you.
Thanks for your time
