From the title of my post you can tell that the budget for this Christmas is dependent on the fatness of account balance. And it is the same for everyone that would be celebrating Christmas this year.
It's that time of the year when everyone wants to enjoy everything about the festive period like traveling, shopping, cooking, visiting public places, having maximum fun, etc. Just anything that's fun and enjoyable.
Money is one of the factors that makes it fun and enjoyable if you can buy whatever thing you want at that particular time. Some only believe Christmas is just an holiday to celebrate, eat, drink, travel and have fun, they forget it significance.

The significance of Christmas is appreciating and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God who came to earth in form of man to show us The Way, The Truth and The Life. Was beaten, crucified, died for your sins and mine, buried and resurrected again. Then gave us His life (if we accept Him as Lord and personal Saviour) that we might not perish with the world but be reconciled with God.
But it appears that so many people are more focus on the fun part of it than the real significance. Christmas is also about love but how much love is shown during Christmas and how many more love do we show to people before and after Christmas ???.....

My budget for Christmas isn't much at all since I'd be travelling home and that's about $5+. My parents would fund the celebration I and my siblings only need to do little but I am sure soon enough -might be next year- we'll be the ones to fund every celebration. We are grown enough to do that.
On Christmas day, what we spend money on is fuel to power the car to go for Christmas service in the morning, food ingredients for jollof and fried rice, chicken and fish, drinks. These are the things we mostly spend money on during Christmas.
I prefer to buy snacks like doughnuts, egg roll, sausage roll, rather than buy food on Christmas especially if I go out. I do this because there's always food at home so I do not see a reason why I should still buy food outside. Even if someone was to offer me food I would prefer to get snacks.
This Christmas particularly, I don't have any big plan for it until I get home, I might end up agreeing with any plan my parents and siblings suggests -as long as it sits well with me. My eldest sister is the last person that would think about going out during any festive period, except her fiance comes around to celebrate the Christmas with us.
Aside my parents taking care of the funds, I wouldn't be doing much on Christmas as long I won't be going out; if I would be, then I am sponsoring myself to where ever I would be going. I should be lucky enough to hangout with my friends though, some are rich enough to sponsor the whole spending.
