I can recall few scam situations that happened to my parents and siblings, besides, I have never been successfully scammed since I started using a phone but I have had encounter with some. So I'm going to share my experiences.
Since I got my first good phone, yeah good phone, I don't have to explain how older siblings pass their used and almost spoilt phones to their younger ones right?😅😅. I usually play games, watch lots of movies and scroll on Instagram to watch music videos. So, as at then, I wasn't aware one could even make a dime on the internet, the online money era hasn't arrived so well at that time.

My First Scam Experience Was Blessing A In Disguise

I was teaching in a small primary school after graduating from secondary school, it want far from my home as it was just few minutes trek (maybe 10minutes). I was earning close to $10 at that time and was living quite a good life then.
A fateful day, my friend from church called, he plays the piano in church. He said there is this update he wants to share with me, I said he should hint me, so he describe that it was a platform where you just get to like some Chinese post on Instagram and you earn well
I was like just like that?. Then he said I would have to pay 7000 naira for registration fee and also get a personal account with them. It didn't sound like a bad idea to me because it was some days left before I would receive my first salary. I can't believe I was so brave then to take such risk.
I got my first salary and informed my mom about the platform my friend told me about. My mom knows this friend so she only asked me "are you guys sure it would bring profit" and I confidently said yes, it would. The next Sunday, I sent the 7000 naira to my friend after he showed me his earning plus my 7000 naira as his referral bonus. He had made around 20,000 naira plus on that platform and he got in for free when it was just coming up.
I made my first earnings after 2 weeks, I got my 7000 naira back with little amount. I told my mom and she was then calm about that the platform was not a scam. I tried referring my siblings but they were too scared of the platform crashing down when they invest. I was dedicated to the little tasks I do on the platform since I got no one to refer.
I already made close to 30,000+ in naira. Then I did something crazy, I created another account and referred myself with my previous account. I got the referral bonus on my previous account and still continued earning on my the new account.
IT WAS INDEED A SMART MOVE😂😂
Finally, the platform crashed
After some people started investing 200,000 naira - 1 million. Why did they invest such amount of money at a goal?. It was because the bigger the amount, the bigger the earnings; especially when you refer, the reward is bigger.Lucky me, I made close to 50,000 naira+ from the platform before it crashed. My friend also made a lot than I did at that time. It was indeed a blessing in disguise

My only regret on the platform
My sister joined in 2 weeks before the crash, though I told her I have been seeing traces of them trying to close the platform (the so called officials were trying to move from site to an app). She agreed to invest, exactly 2 weeks when she requested for a withdrawal the platform crashed.
I couldn't even say sorry because it won't do anything; though my sister was earning so well from her tailoring job. Right from time she hated anything online because of fraudsters so I couldn't even find the right words to say to her.
Since 2018/2019, I never had any real experience with scams . I try my best to avoid them even on my WhatsApp as fraudsters are now moving there to be for money.
